Liar, Pants On Fire

Clary felt lightheaded, and not just because of the dull headache that kept pounding in her head, but because of the overload of information in her brain, causing her emotions to go crazy. She did not know which emotion to pick from, whether to choose shock, pain, disbelief, anger, confusion, or rage.

“You’re a liar,” Clary said to Mr. Clark as she stood to her feet. “Tell me the truth right now or I swear I would tank the deal!” She exclaimed and then released a small trembling sigh. Her eyes were filling up with tears quickly.

She believed what Mr. Clark had told her about her real mom, it made sense and the dots connected. Plus he sounded so genuine when he was explaining. But Clary did not want to believe that he was her real father.

Mr. Clark was on his feet and Selena did the same too. “You see, this is why I wanted you to sign the document before I told you anything,” He told Clary. “I knew that you would have reacted like this.”
