She knew so well that even with the two swords Arthur was holding, he wouldn't be able to dodge the motion of the disguised assassin coming after him. She believes that the warrior is an assassin because his moves are the same as the other assassins that Flarry trains, she's the only assassin under Flarry with unique swordsmanship and Flarry doesn't have full control over her either.
“I can not watch you be dead when I've not gotten what I want. I must save you, or my stay in this palace will come to an end and I won't be able to get the royal file.” she stood from her seat, taking on her heels into the field, causing commotions amongst the people watching.Seeing that it would be too late before she reached the field, she drew out the sword of one of the guards standing and threw it directly at the disguised assassin. The sword slashed with that of the assassin which made it fall to the ground. The assassin turned to take a good look at her, they locked eyes but she could sense anger written all over his face.“Flarry sent you!” she murmured and walked closer, dragging out Arthur's sword and beginning a fight with the assassin. Arthur stood, not knowing whether to stop her or not. She somersaulted in the air, landing on him two heavy kicks that sent him to the floor, then she walked closer to him and squatted. “I am the best assassin of all over the packs, it's very easy to take your life here…..but you must go back and tell Flarry to not try this shit the second time,” she muttered to him and then turned her back.Arthur took the sword from her and pointed it at her. “Who….who exactly are you?”She sniffed. “You must not find out, but I'm that woman who will take your life very soon.” she let out a wide smile, held the sword, and pulled it downwards. “I am your acting Luna, and will soon be your crowned Luna. I can't watch him kill you when I learned swordsmanship from my late uncle.” she narrated. He let out a heavy breath. “You have a lot to tell me.”She shook her head. “No! I have nothing to tell you. I only monitored his moves, and seeing him take that motion which I was taught is the most dangerous and I am aware you don't know—I had to rush over and save you. Is it that bad to save my King? My uncle trained me, but I stopped practicing after he died.” she sniffed, making a long face.He nodded, believing her. He turned but the guy who fought him wasn't there any longer. He searched among the other warriors but he was nowhere around.“How did he disappear?” he murmured. She gulped and came closer. “Seeing that he had the motive to kill you means that he's the assassin, so send out your men after him,” she advised, knowing that they would never find the assassin.“Male sure you bring him alive.” alpha Arthur ordered his guards and they left in a run. He held Freya as they walked back to their seats.Freya stared at Elora whose face was contorted. She could sense anger and jealousy written on it. “If only you know that he will die soon….” she thought, biting her lower lips. After a while, she left back to the palace building with the King. They walked into his room and he offered her a drink. “I'm still amused by what you did today, if not for you, I would have been dead and all those people would only watch me.” she raised her brows to what he just said. “I didn't make a mistake choosing you, and I hope you will become my crowned Luna someday,” he added and then had a cheer with her. She emptied the cup in a go and placed it on the table. “I am Freya….” she smiled. “The secret assassin.” she completed the sentence in her mind. “I should freshen up, I feel uncomfortable with the sweats all over me.”“Okay, we should take a walk around the palace anytime soon,” he said and she shrugged her shoulders, then left the room. The moment she stepped her feet out of his room, Flarry mind linked her. “Why did you do that? That was the best opportunity to accomplish my plan.”“Just like you have an aim, I do too, and without him as my bait, I can't get what I want. What matters is that he will die at last, so what else do you want? If he's dead and I am out of the palace, how will I find the royal file which is the most important part of my aim? Even if I kill him without getting that file, then his death is in vain. Since that file is nowhere but in this palace, I must find it before taking another move, and only if he lives and sides with me as his Luna will it be accomplished.” she explained, although it isn't the first time she's doing it.“Freya!!” he mentioned, but she cut him short. “Take your time Flarry, and don't ever attack him. I have my method of dealing with my enemies, so don't interfere and just wait for my feedback.'' She cut off the link.It was pissing her off, but she won't blame him because she can tell how scared and jealous he is that she's with another man.She was intending to head to her room when she heard a scream from the room after her. This wasn't the room where she heard the whisper last night, it was a different one, but she didn't mind—she walked closer to the door and leaned her ear on it.“What did you just say? That the hair got missing?'' That was Arthur's mother. She scoffed and stood still. “You don't have to worry since I already ran the test before he took it.” the physician replied.“He? Whos that?”“An assassin! I got attacked, if not for the guard, I would have been dead.”She smiled wickedly. “Better for you, old hag.'' She licked her lips and kept listening.“So, what's the result about?”“It's not her? I did it thrice but got the same result.”“Then about the assassin, something is off and we can't sit back,” Luna replied, her voice sounding shaky.“I can reminisce on what his mask looks like, I think that can help to find him.” the physician interfered.Freya clenched her fist. “That man asks for death. I might cage you until I'm done since I'm not after you.” she thought.“Fine, you will have to go with him to the artist so he can describe what the mask looks like and the artist puts it down. Make sure you find the assassin, my instincts keep telling me that she's alive somewhere.'' Luna stated.“But, I was very sure that she was killed and buried. It might just be that they look alike, and the physician just ran a paternity test.” came a masculine voice.Freya narrowed her eyes. “That voice! It seems familiar. I heard that voice somewhere seventeen years ago.”“If you insist that she's dead, then dig that grave and get out her corpse so a paternity test will be taken. I'll only have a rest of mind the moment I'm sure that she's the one you buried.” there was a pause, and then she continued. “Another thing is that you have to look into the background of this Freya lady. I can't believe she did that in the fighting scene of Arthur with that warrior…..and that warrior has another motive.”“I'll look for the warrior if possible. But mostly, I'll look into Freya.” the man replied.Freya let out a deep breath. “Which is more important now? Doing something about my biography or digging out the body? They can't find out who I am…..and I have to search for the file in her room so I need nothing that will stop me.” she bit her lower lips.“Everything will be done at night!!'' That was the last statement she heard before she hid in a corner, knowing that they were coming out of the room. She was still peeping to see who they were and what they looked like. The physician walked out, then followed by a young man with a white beard.A memory flashed through her head. She recalled that face, that beard that was rubbed the moment her mother was stabbed while on the floor. He was the one, the head of the gang group that was sent to murder her parents. It was him, and now he's after her too.“I wonder who he killed thinking that it was me.” she thought and shook her head. “Since we met again, I won't let you go unscathed. We will meet each other tonight.” she came out of her hidden corner and began moving to her room. She has a lot to do. The file, she needs to search for it in Luna's room, and then she has to do something about her background and the buried corpse.“Flarry, “ she mind-linked him. “How do I make my background
The assassin began digging the grave before her very eyes, causing anger to surge through her veins. “I don't care, Arthur, you can do your worst when I return—but don't cross the line so you don't lose your life tonight.” she thought and unsheathed her sword, taking to her heels towards the assassin who already had the feeling that someone was after him.He pulled out his sword and then a duel took place between them. Their swords collided, crossing each other as they fumed in anger, glaring at each other. She pulled back and drew out a knife which she held in her left hand, jumping towards him, and leaving on his neck a slash with the knife. He didn't pull back either, instead, he overlooked the cut and rushed towards her, taking action with his sword and she responded to it causing a clanging sound that echoed in the bush.“Back off!” she said to her. But the response she got was a sudden hit on her face which sent her to the floor. She rolled backwards as he came forward with his
It was past 9am, yet Freya never left her room. She was still in there, lying on the bed with her legs placed on the wall while she stared at the ceiling. All that happened last night was bothering her…first, the assassin, and then the maid. She wants to believe that they aren't spies, but her instincts won't let her think positively. “She recognised me, so there's a probability that she's using then to deceive me.” She reminded herself again. But recalling the conversations Luna had with the assassin before he left the house yesterday, it didn't sound like she was using him, and the maid disguising herself just to save her is proof that they are real.“She knows that it was me? And that I am an assassin?” She shook her head, rolling to the other end of the bed. “For how long now? Were they here because they had to save me? But, if that assassin is real, why is he working for her?” That was when she recalled the last statement the assassin made. “He had done that to save me? What exa
Walking side by side with Arthur, she noticed the way people were staring at them, that was when it dawned on her that Arthur wasn't dressed like a king. She tapped him. “Do you enjoy going out this way?”He chuckled. “I don't want people to know that I'm their king, so they won't stay away from me or pay respect.”“Better for you, because it will soon be known by everyone that the throne is not rightfully yours.” she thought and smiled. “That's okay, to play a disguise for the sake of meeting with people,” she said to him and he nodded. He paused and pointed at the bar. “Let's have a drink. It's been a while since I came outside the palace to talk more about drinking out here, and it will be fun.”She shrugged her shoulders. “I just hope you can stand emptying more than one bottle because I can't carry you to the palace if you're drunk.”“We will pay for a room there, so if I get drunk, I'll just sleep in there.” it sounded fun to him, but to her, it was otherwise. “What about your
Freya was shocked to see herself naked on the floor. She wiped her face, believing that it was a dream, and then took a good look at her naked body again. “Wait! I must be crazy.” she stood up immediately to see Arthur lying beside the place she was. “What happened between us? Hope it isn't what I'm thinking?”She shook her head, trying to reassure herself that it was just a mere thought. She grabbed her clothes and had them on, taking a look at the table that was still occupied with bottles of liquor and cups.“We drank and slept off, right? Nothing else happened right?” she nodded and was about to make a move, but she noticed a sore feeling under her. She stopped and bent her head to see what was going on under there, but she could only see her thighs. The moment she turned, she saw a blood stain on the floor. “Eeeish! This should just be a dream, I'd prefer it.” She laid down on the floor again, stayed for a while, and then stood up but everything was just like it was. “I messed my
The presence of Luna disrupted the discussion Freya was having with Alpha Arthur. She stared at the woman and faked a smile before bowing to greet her. “Greetings, Your Highness….” she tapped Arthur. “Talk to you later, I have to take some rest.”“Why are you leaving so suddenly now that I showed up? Continue what you were saying?” Luna came closer. They looked at themselves.“Mother, do you want to hear our discussions?” Arthur asked. She scoffed. “Are you hiding anything from us?” she gulped and faced Freya. “Where did you go with him today? I searched for the both of you but none of the servants knew your whereabouts.”“Ummm! We went for a walk outside the palace. That's all.” Freya replied, trying so hard not to be suspected.Luna nodded. “I see, you went on a walk with him as the acting Luna right?”She nodded, smiling sheepishly this time, knowing that she was looking for what to use against her. “I will be in now.”“You have no right to leave until I order so.” Luna declared, c
Watching as Freya spilled the meal on the floor, Elora walked closer and lifted her hand to hit Freya, but she held it. “Didn't I warn you not to try this? Are you going nuts?” she pushed her backward. “Fine, I'll prepare another meal for you, just consider me as a lifesaver,” she added and was about to leave when Arthur drew her backward. She swallowed saliva, knowing that he must be so enraged that his eyes had to change to a golden-orange color.“What has come over you? I mean, who do you think you are?” He shrieked at her.She glanced around. She just hates it when he asks her such a question. How will she tell him that she's an assassin seeking vengeance? “Like I said, consider me a lifesaver?”“That's rubbish!” he yelled, pulling her arm backward. “Do you know how long it took to prepare this meal that you spilled? And you expect me to wait this longer before you prepare another one all in the name of being the acting Luna huh?”Freya gritted her teeth. At this point, she was be
Until she was done preparing the meal, she said not a single word to Arthur and he didn't bother asking any more questions, because he felt those questions were making her uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Freya was trying not to disclose the secret about her, and the best way to do that was to become mute. She served him the meal, and about to leave, she ordered that she must sit and watch her as that is what she's supposed to do.“Huh? I can't just sit, doing nothing.” she smiled. “I'm coming…” She left and returned with a spoon. His face contorted. “What do you plan to do?”“Eat with you of course. How do you expect me to sit and watch you eat before me while I lick my lips? It isn't possible!'' She got seated and joined him.He thought of what to say to her but knew not what to say, so he let go of that and decided to feel free.“You shouldn't act that way, besides we ate together in the….”“Shhhhhh!” he shut her up. That should be a secret that nobody should know. “Just eat okay, I'm not
