005

She knew so well that even with the two swords Arthur was holding, he wouldn't be able to dodge the motion of the disguised assassin coming after him. She believes that the warrior is an assassin because his moves are the same as the other assassins that Flarry trains, she's the only assassin under Flarry with unique swordsmanship and Flarry doesn't have full control over her either.

“I can not watch you be dead when I've not gotten what I want. I must save you, or my stay in this palace will come to an end and I won't be able to get the royal file.” she stood from her seat, taking on her heels into the field, causing commotions amongst the people watching.

Seeing that it would be too late before she reached the field, she drew out the sword of one of the guards standing and threw it directly at the disguised assassin. The sword slashed with that of the assassin which made it fall to the ground.

The assassin turned to take a good look at her, they locked eyes but she could sense anger written all over his face.

“Flarry sent you!” she murmured and walked closer, dragging out Arthur's sword and beginning a fight with the assassin. Arthur stood, not knowing whether to stop her or not. She somersaulted in the air, landing on him two heavy kicks that sent him to the floor, then she walked closer to him and squatted. “I am the best assassin of all over the packs, it's very easy to take your life here…..but you must go back and tell Flarry to not try this shit the second time,” she muttered to him and then turned her back.

Arthur took the sword from her and pointed it at her. “Who….who exactly are you?”

She sniffed. “You must not find out, but I'm that woman who will take your life very soon.” she let out a wide smile, held the sword, and pulled it downwards. “I am your acting Luna, and will soon be your crowned Luna. I can't watch him kill you when I learned swordsmanship from my late uncle.” she narrated.

He let out a heavy breath. “You have a lot to tell me.”

She shook her head. “No! I have nothing to tell you. I only monitored his moves, and seeing him take that motion which I was taught is the most dangerous and I am aware you don't know—I had to rush over and save you. Is it that bad to save my King? My uncle trained me, but I stopped practicing after he died.” she sniffed, making a long face.

He nodded, believing her. He turned but the guy who fought him wasn't there any longer. He searched among the other warriors but he was nowhere around.

“How did he disappear?” he murmured.

She gulped and came closer. “Seeing that he had the motive to kill you means that he's the assassin, so send out your men after him,” she advised, knowing that they would never find the assassin.

“Male sure you bring him alive.” alpha Arthur ordered his guards and they left in a run. He held Freya as they walked back to their seats.

Freya stared at Elora whose face was contorted. She could sense anger and jealousy written on it. “If only you know that he will die soon….” she thought, biting her lower lips.

After a while, she left back to the palace building with the King. They walked into his room and he offered her a drink. “I'm still amused by what you did today, if not for you, I would have been dead and all those people would only watch me.” she raised her brows to what he just said. “I didn't make a mistake choosing you, and I hope you will become my crowned Luna someday,” he added and then had a cheer with her.

She emptied the cup in a go and placed it on the table. “I am Freya….” she smiled. “The secret assassin.” she completed the sentence in her mind. “I should freshen up, I feel uncomfortable with the sweats all over me.”

“Okay, we should take a walk around the palace anytime soon,” he said and she shrugged her shoulders, then left the room.

The moment she stepped her feet out of his room, Flarry mind linked her. “Why did you do that? That was the best opportunity to accomplish my plan.”

“Just like you have an aim, I do too, and without him as my bait, I can't get what I want. What matters is that he will die at last, so what else do you want? If he's dead and I am out of the palace, how will I find the royal file which is the most important part of my aim? Even if I kill him without getting that file, then his death is in vain. Since that file is nowhere but in this palace, I must find it before taking another move, and only if he lives and sides with me as his Luna will it be accomplished.” she explained, although it isn't the first time she's doing it.

“Freya!!” he mentioned, but she cut him short. “Take your time Flarry, and don't ever attack him. I have my method of dealing with my enemies, so don't interfere and just wait for my feedback.'' She cut off the link.

It was pissing her off, but she won't blame him because she can tell how scared and jealous he is that she's with another man.

She was intending to head to her room when she heard a scream from the room after her. This wasn't the room where she heard the whisper last night, it was a different one, but she didn't mind—she walked closer to the door and leaned her ear on it.

“What did you just say? That the hair got missing?'' That was Arthur's mother. She scoffed and stood still. “You don't have to worry since I already ran the test before he took it.” the physician replied.

“He? Whos that?”

“An assassin! I got attacked, if not for the guard, I would have been dead.”

She smiled wickedly. “Better for you, old hag.'' She licked her lips and kept listening.

“So, what's the result about?”

“It's not her? I did it thrice but got the same result.”

“Then about the assassin, something is off and we can't sit back,” Luna replied, her voice sounding shaky.

“I can reminisce on what his mask looks like, I think that can help to find him.” the physician interfered.

Freya clenched her fist. “That man asks for death. I might cage you until I'm done since I'm not after you.” she thought.

“Fine, you will have to go with him to the artist so he can describe what the mask looks like and the artist puts it down. Make sure you find the assassin, my instincts keep telling me that she's alive somewhere.'' Luna stated.

“But, I was very sure that she was killed and buried. It might just be that they look alike, and the physician just ran a paternity test.” came a masculine voice.

Freya narrowed her eyes. “That voice! It seems familiar. I heard that voice somewhere seventeen years ago.”

“If you insist that she's dead, then dig that grave and get out her corpse so a paternity test will be taken. I'll only have a rest of mind the moment I'm sure that she's the one you buried.” there was a pause, and then she continued. “Another thing is that you have to look into the background of this Freya lady. I can't believe she did that in the fighting scene of Arthur with that warrior…..and that warrior has another motive.”

“I'll look for the warrior if possible. But mostly, I'll look into Freya.” the man replied.

Freya let out a deep breath. “Which is more important now? Doing something about my biography or digging out the body? They can't find out who I am…..and I have to search for the file in her room so I need nothing that will stop me.” she bit her lower lips.
