LOGINSofia pov:
We stepped out of the car and headed inside. Everyone was bowing their heads in respect for Damian, while some gave me looks of sympathy and curiosity. Others had shocked expressions on their faces when they looked at me, making me wonder if my new look was really that surprising. Inside the courtroom, I saw the Alpha and Luna sitting at the head table, with my father and mother on the right, and Mark's parents on the left. Empty seats on the other side were for Damian, Josh, Mark, and me. We sat down, with the elders at one end. One of the elders stood up and said, “Attention, everybody. Get to your seats. Let the offenders be brought in.” We heard the sound of chains and then saw Vanessa, Tracy, Tiffany and Matthew being led in by prison guards. I was shocked to see Matthew, who belongs to the neighboring pack. Damian must've seen my confusion and whispered, “His Alpha is aware of his crimes against my future Luna and permitted judgment to be carried out. His family and pack members have accepted his fate and approved under Werewolf Law, he explained and I nodded. I looked at Vanessa she looked terrible. Her usually straight, well-packed blonde hair was messy, and she had a haggard look with deep bruises on her body. Tiffany, Tracy, were no better; Matthew had a big gash on her face. I recognized the warriors with them — they'd always tortured me in the dungeon on Vanessa's orders. The courtroom was quiet with tension as the offenders stood before us. Elder Michael rose, his voice cutting through the heavy silence of the courtroom. He began to read out Vanessa’s crimes against me, and I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized just how much I had suffered at her hands. The list of offenses was long and brutal, and I could see the shock on everyone’s faces as they listened. “Vanessa Valkor is being charged with abusing her sister, Sofia Valkor, and The “Rhi’la” of the pack. When the elder spoke, he called me by my tribal Title, Rhi’la, a Title given to the future Luna of the pack. Hearing it out loud made it real—if I accept Damian, I’m truly meant to be the pack’s future Luna. It hit me hard, and I could feel the weight of that destiny settling on my shoulders. Elder Michael announced, his eyes scanning the room. “The offenses include: repeated physical torture, where Vanessa would order warriors to drag Sofia to the dungeon and inflict unimaginable pain on her, using various objects to cut into her skin, Injecting wolfsbane into her. He continued, “Vanessa also subjected Sofia to emotional abuse, constantly belittling her, making her feel worthless and unloved. She would isolate Sofia from the pack, spreading lies and rumors (rumors that she is coursed anyone who goes close to her will be coursed by the goddess) to turn others against her, But the worst of her crimes was when she attacked Sofia in the bathroom with her friends, almost costing her life. It was only through the interference of the “Ulriken” (meaning future alpha), Sofia’s mate, that she was saved.” As Elder Michael spoke, I could see the reactions of those around me. My mother’s face was twisted in fury, her eyes blazing with anger. But it wasn’t directed at Vanessa; it was at me. She seemed to be blaming me for bringing shame to the family. My father, on the other hand, was expressionless, his face a mask of indifference. My mother stood up, her voice shrill as she countered, “That’s not true! My daughter Vanessa never did any of that. All these lies are being told by Sofia. Vanessa is a sweet girl and would never hurt her sister like that.” Elder Michael’s eyes narrowed. “Contain yourself, Beta Linda. Beta Ben please contain your.” My father quickly pulled my mother back down into her seat, his grip firm. Elder Michael continued, “Sofia didn’t tell us anything about the abuse. We conducted investigations, interrogated the warriors, and when they were alpha-commanded, they spoke the truth. Tiffany and Tracy also confessed everything. And, when the Alpha commanded Vanessa, she admitted to her crimes herself.” The Alpha stood up, his presence commanding attention. “Vanessa, for the crimes you have committed against your own flesh and blood, judgment will be carried out.” He turned to Elder Philip. “Elder Philip, please read out the punishment for us.” The room held its breath as Elder Philip prepared to speak, the weight of Vanessa’s fate hanging in the balance.Sofia pov: I've seen Vanessa and the others around the packgrounds a few times when I went to the pack house to get books from the Luna. . She'd insisted I start learning about being the future Luna, and I didn't want to disrespect her, so I'd go. Vanessa, Tracy, and Taffy aren't looking their best. Vanessa's still blaming everyone else for her downfall, except herself. She's even had the audacity to comfort me, saying I stole Damian from her. One time, she tried fighting me. It didn't end well for her – Josh put her in her place, making it clear she's the one who caused her own problems. Vanessa's still in denial, and it's getting annoying. I told her Damian's my mate, the Moon Goddess made him my mate, something I’m not really happy about and she's welcome to have him if she wants. That really got her angry. Luna Elena had to command her to stay away from me, reminding her she's an omega now and should show respect. Vanessa's not taking it well. She's been fighting with o
I sneered, "He's not just another male, he's Josh, my friend. Something you've not been for years. He's always loved and supported me, took care of me when all you did was ignore me and my existence. So no, Damian, he's not just a male, he's my friend, and he's everything to me that you are not." Damian took a step closer, his eyes flashing with anger and hurt. I raised my hand, placing it on his chest, halting him. "Back off, Damian. I don't want you." He seemed to wrestle with his wolf, then sighed in defeat. "Fine, but let's talk for a few minutes." I shook my head, my voice firm. "No. Get out, Damian." He must have sent Josh away while I wasn't paying attention. The air was thick with tension, the mate bond pulsing between us. Damian's eyes flashed, but he didn't move. "I'm not leaving you like this." I glared, my emotions boiling over. "Get. Out." He hesitated, then turned to leave. "I'll be outside if you need me." As the door closed, I slid down, back against
Sofia pov. As I sat on the porch, memories of Granny Aria flooded me. She'd say, "Sofia, you have beautiful magic in you. You're not just an omega, child. Very soon, everything will make sense, and those who called you worthless will regret their words." I'd giggle, feeling like the most special kid in the pack. Granny Aria was a force to be reckoned with – strong, beautiful, and powerful. Over three hundred years old, but she looked like she was in her mid-twenties. She'd been the pack healer and head warrior, a title that commanded respect. I'd often marvel at her strength, especially after she'd lost my grandpa and two uncles, in a rogue attack long before I was born. She never got a second chance mate. When my mother didn't want me, Granny Aria took me in. Josh, Damian, and Mark would come to our house for special training, and I'd watch them tirelessly. Granny Aria was a tough teacher, pushing them to their limits. I'd sit on the porch, asking why I couldn't join in, and
He sat down, and a bitter smile crept to my lips. I locked eyes with my mate—he stared at me, confusion etched on his face. “Are you okay, Sofia?” he asked, voice soft but edged with worry. I met his gaze, cold and distant, and said, “I’m fine. I’d like to leave here now, if you don’t mind.” He looked surprised but nodded. The courtroom was in chaos, elder Phillips stood and announced, “The prisoners should be escorted to the Sacred ground for the ritual to bind their wolves immediately.” As they were led away, I stood from my chair, and headed out Damian called, but I ignored him. I didn’t want to talk to him. He grabbed me, and I yanked my hand free. “Leave me alone, Damian. I don’t want to talk to you,” I said sharply. “You need to calm down. Why are you angry? You finally got the justice you deserved,” he tried to soothe me. I laughed bitterly. “Justice? Tell me, Damian, if I wasn’t your mate would you have even cared what happens to me? He said quickly, “Of course I’
Sofia’s pov: Elder Philip’s voice rang out, cold and unyielding, as he delivered the judgment. “ Tiffany Roy, your punishment is as follows: you will be stripped of your title as a warrior, reduced to an omega. All privileges you once held as a warrior’s daughter and future pack warrior will be taken from you. You are to work in the pack house and on the pack farm for two years. You will remain an omega until your punishment is complete, with no shifting into your wolf form for four months. He turned his gaze to Tracy. “The same fate befalls you, Tracy Thomas. You will share Tiffany punishment, stripped of your status and forced to labor as an omega for two years.” Then, his eyes locked onto Vanessa, and his tone grew harsher. “Vanessa Valkor, for hurting your sister, for attempting to kill her, and for masterminding the pain and torture she has endured for years, you will face a far greater punishment. You are hereby stripped of your beta powers. All privileges you once en
