Sofia’s pov:

Elder Philip’s voice rang out, cold and unyielding, as he delivered the judgment. “ Tiffany Roy, your punishment is as follows: you will be stripped of your title as a warrior, reduced to an omega. All privileges you once held as a warrior’s daughter and future pack warrior will be taken from you. You are to work in the pack house and on the pack farm for two years. You will remain an omega until your punishment is complete, with no shifting into your wolf form for four months.

He turned his gaze to Tracy. “The same fate befalls you, Tracy Thomas. You will share Tiffany punishment, stripped of your status and forced to labor as an omega for two years.”

Then, his eyes locked onto Vanessa, and his tone grew harsher. “Vanessa Valkor, for hurting your sister, for attempting to kill her, and for masterminding the pain and torture she has endured for years, you will face a far greater punishment. You are hereby stripped of your beta powers.

All privileges you once enjoyed as a beta’s daughter are withdrawn with immediate effect. You are no longer allowed to set foot in the beta’s quarters. You will be reduced to less than an omega, and all powers from your beta bloodline will be stripped away. By midnight tonight, your powers will be sealed, and your wolf will be banned from shifting for a year. You will remain in your human form, unable to shift.

Elder Philip’s gaze then shifted to the warriors who had betrayed their oath. “As for you four, who were supposed to be protectors of this pack, you have let greed and cruelty consume you. For this, you will not shift into your wolf form for three years. All your warrior powers will be banned, and every privilege that comes with being a warrior will be withdrawn. Your families will be demoted to omegas, bearing the shame of your actions.”

As the punishment was read, screams erupted in the courtroom. The families of the condemned warriors were outraged, their pride shattered as their sons, once warriors of generations, were reduced to mere omegas. Tiffany and Tracy’s mothers wept, their cries echoing through the hall. A wolf unable to shift for a day is torture; let alone for three months or three years, it’s a punishment worse than death.

I glanced at Damian, seeing a proud smile on his face, and a chill ran down my spine. My mate had orchestrated this brutal punishment. Oh, dear MoonGoddess, what have I ended up with? My parents will surely kill me now.

I couldn’t help but wonder—if I wasn’t Damian’s mate, would Vanessa and the others have been punished? Would this court hearing have ever taken place? That question kept gnawing at me, and I couldn’t shake the uncertainty of what would become of me in the pack. Most people didn’t like me before, and now, the families affected by this punishment will surely hate me even more.

I looked at my father—his face still expressionless but my mother was sobbing, eyes swollen, because a punishment worse than death had been handed down to her precious daughter.

I honestly didn’t know what I felt. Was I happy? Relieved? Scared? I didn’t feel relieved or happy about any of this. If I wasn’t Damian’s mate, no one would have cared enough to bring Vanessa and her friends to justice.

The Alpha stood, his voice cutting through the tense air. “With this punishment handed down, none of the families are allowed to appeal. You will face the punishment and serve your time.

As for you, Matthew, hurting a member of my pack is a sign of disrespect to my pack. You should know better than to hurt anyone from the Black Wood Pack. My pack and the Silver Fern Pack have a treaty.

That’s why your Alpha has given us permission to act. Not that we needed it. For laying your hands on a member of my pack, a beta's daughter for that matter, you will serve in our pack as a slave, stripped of your warrior title and any other honors. Any future punishment deemed fit by the Rhi’la’’ of the black wood pack, you shall receive. You are still allowed to go to school and finish your studies, your family will only visit you once in a month.

Sofia pov: I've seen Vanessa and the others around the packgrounds a few times when I went to the pack house to get books from the Luna. . She'd insisted I start learning about being the future Luna, and I didn't want to disrespect her, so I'd go. Vanessa, Tracy, and Taffy aren't looking their best. Vanessa's still blaming everyone else for her downfall, except herself. She's even had the audacity to comfort me, saying I stole Damian from her. One time, she tried fighting me. It didn't end well for her – Josh put her in her place, making it clear she's the one who caused her own problems. Vanessa's still in denial, and it's getting annoying. I told her Damian's my mate, the Moon Goddess made him my mate, something I’m not really happy about and she's welcome to have him if she wants. That really got her angry. Luna Elena had to command her to stay away from me, reminding her she's an omega now and should show respect. Vanessa's not taking it well. She's been fighting with o

I sneered, "He's not just another male, he's Josh, my friend. Something you've not been for years. He's always loved and supported me, took care of me when all you did was ignore me and my existence. So no, Damian, he's not just a male, he's my friend, and he's everything to me that you are not." Damian took a step closer, his eyes flashing with anger and hurt. I raised my hand, placing it on his chest, halting him. "Back off, Damian. I don't want you." He seemed to wrestle with his wolf, then sighed in defeat. "Fine, but let's talk for a few minutes." I shook my head, my voice firm. "No. Get out, Damian." He must have sent Josh away while I wasn't paying attention. The air was thick with tension, the mate bond pulsing between us. Damian's eyes flashed, but he didn't move. "I'm not leaving you like this." I glared, my emotions boiling over. "Get. Out." He hesitated, then turned to leave. "I'll be outside if you need me." As the door closed, I slid down, back against

Sofia pov. As I sat on the porch, memories of Granny Aria flooded me. She'd say, "Sofia, you have beautiful magic in you. You're not just an omega, child. Very soon, everything will make sense, and those who called you worthless will regret their words." I'd giggle, feeling like the most special kid in the pack. Granny Aria was a force to be reckoned with – strong, beautiful, and powerful. Over three hundred years old, but she looked like she was in her mid-twenties. She'd been the pack healer and head warrior, a title that commanded respect. I'd often marvel at her strength, especially after she'd lost my grandpa and two uncles, in a rogue attack long before I was born. She never got a second chance mate. When my mother didn't want me, Granny Aria took me in. Josh, Damian, and Mark would come to our house for special training, and I'd watch them tirelessly. Granny Aria was a tough teacher, pushing them to their limits. I'd sit on the porch, asking why I couldn't join in, and

He sat down, and a bitter smile crept to my lips. I locked eyes with my mate—he stared at me, confusion etched on his face. “Are you okay, Sofia?” he asked, voice soft but edged with worry. I met his gaze, cold and distant, and said, “I’m fine. I’d like to leave here now, if you don’t mind.” He looked surprised but nodded. The courtroom was in chaos, elder Phillips stood and announced, “The prisoners should be escorted to the Sacred ground for the ritual to bind their wolves immediately.” As they were led away, I stood from my chair, and headed out Damian called, but I ignored him. I didn’t want to talk to him. He grabbed me, and I yanked my hand free. “Leave me alone, Damian. I don’t want to talk to you,” I said sharply. “You need to calm down. Why are you angry? You finally got the justice you deserved,” he tried to soothe me. I laughed bitterly. “Justice? Tell me, Damian, if I wasn’t your mate would you have even cared what happens to me? He said quickly, “Of course I’

Sofia pov: We stepped out of the car and headed inside. Everyone was bowing their heads in respect for Damian, while some gave me looks of sympathy and curiosity. Others had shocked expressions on their faces when they looked at me, making me wonder if my new look was really that surprising. Inside the courtroom, I saw the Alpha and Luna sitting at the head table, with my father and mother on the right, and Mark's parents on the left. Empty seats on the other side were for Damian, Josh, Mark, and me. We sat down, with the elders at one end. One of the elders stood up and said, “Attention, everybody. Get to your seats. Let the offenders be brought in.” We heard the sound of chains and then saw Vanessa, Tracy, Tiffany and Matthew being led in by prison guards. I was shocked to see Matthew, who belongs to the neighboring pack. Damian must've seen my confusion and whispered, “His Alpha is aware of his crimes against my future Luna and permitted judgment to be carried out. His famil
