Sofia pov:

A woman held two lifeless children, her body wracked with sobs. I felt her pain, her anguish, as if it were my own. The air was thick with the weight of grief, and I couldn't breathe.

People surrounded her, their faces etched with sorrow. A man stood above her, his eyes cold and unyielding. "It's your fault," he spat. "You made me do this."

The woman held the children tighter, her screams echoing in my mind. "How could you!" she wailed.

Someone approached her, trying to take the children away. She held them tighter, her body shaking with sobs. "No, don't take them!" she screamed, her voice raw and broken.

I jolted awake, my heart racing, and my body drenched in sweat. It was just a dream, I told myself, but the pain lingered. I'd had this dream every night for the past week, and I still had no idea what it meant.

I asked my wolf, but she just said, "With time, you'll understand."

I didn't know what she meant, but the dreams kept coming. And I never saw anyone's face – only the dead children's faces, haunting me.

I tried to sit up, but something was holding me back. Damian's arm was wrapped around me, his chest rising and falling with his gentle breaths. We must have fallen asleep watching a movie.

"I admire his shirtless body, which is covered with tattoos and tribal marks on his chest. His very handsome sleeping face... My mate is a very handsome and beautiful man. Maybe that's why every woman wants to steal him away from me. I carefully removed his arm and slipped out of bed, padding to the kitchen for a glass of water. The cool liquid soothed my parched throat, but it couldn't calm my racing mind.

Why was I having these dreams? And who were those children?

I was lost in thought, I didn't even notice Damian approach me until he touched my shoulder. I jumped, startled, and he immediately wrapped his arms around me. "Hey, calm down, it's me," he said, his voice soothing. "What's going on? Are you okay?"

He gently turned me around, and his eyes widened as he saw the tears streaming down my face. "You're crying," he said, his voice full of concern. "What is it?"

I tried to brush it off, but he wouldn't let me. "It's nothing," I said, my voice shaking. "Just a bad dream."

Damian's expression softened. "The same dream?" he asked, and I nodded.

He pulled me into a gentle hug. "Do you want to talk about it?" he asked, his voice low and calming.

I shook my head, not ready to relive the memories. "Not yet," I said, my voice muffled against his chest.

He nodded and held my arms, his eyes locked on mine. "Come on, let's go back to sleep. We have to wake up early for training tomorrow."

I smiled weakly and stretched out my arms. "Carry me to the room?" I asked, and he chuckled, scooping me up in his arms

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, groggily opening my eyes to find it was almost 6 AM. I had slept deeply, surprisingly. Turning over, I realized Damian wasn't in bed. I figured he'd probably gone to the training ground, not wanting to disturb me after my rough night.

After a quick morning routine, I put on my training outfit and headed downstairs. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee hit me, and I followed it to the kitchen. Damian was there, looking sexy as ever and all mine.

"Lately, I've been having an overwhelming urge to let Damian mate and mark me, my wolf, has been holding back, saying it's not time yet. I don't understand why she's hesitant when the wolf side of us is naturally inclined to accept and love our mates. Damian and I are bonding well, but she’s been holding back from bonding with storm. She barely even reacted when we are with Damian, unlike how she should've burned with instinct. I'm confused and frustrated.

"Good morning," I said, "I thought you'd left already."

He smiled, walking towards me. "Got up early to make coffee for us before training," he said, handing me a cup.

She said, "I don't want to be your mistress, Damian. You promised..." I said, "Beth,I don't know why you've been so difficult." She said, "It's the pregnancy hormones. I need you now more than ever. I feel alone, being pregnant and alone in everything. My father cares more about the political privilege this brings him than me." I felt guilty because it's true – her father has never shown concern for her, only what he gains from it I said to her, "Look, I'm sorry I haven't been there for you, and I will make it up to you. I'm going to be there for you throughout this pregnancy and after. I'll be very involved in my child's life, and I'll make sure you're well taken care of." She replies, "Do you know that I'm a princess of Bearmont? No elite will want to marry me because I've given birth." I told her, "Anyone who truly loves you will marry you regardless. You shouldn't think too deeply about it. Maybe, who knows, you might actually find your destined mate very soon." Mention

Damian pov: I watched Sofia heading towards the park house to have a conversation with her father, and I was really worried about her. I suggested following her, but she insisted that it's something she needed to handle alone. It's true, her parents kept it from her that Linda wasn't her mother for so long, and she spent all her life trying to gain her mother's attention and love, not knowing that the woman she desperately wanted love from was not her mother. I've always had my suspicions that Linda wasn't her mother because there was no resemblance between them. But I just felt maybe some kids don't look like both their parents, they look like just one of the parents. Sofia has a few features that she inherited from her dad, same with Vanessa. I decided to reach out to Storm and ask him why he wasn't bonding with Albaz the same way I was bonding with Sofia. He said it wasn't that easy, he needs to earn Albaz’s trust, that Albaz has a bit of trust issues, that he wasn't ready

I took it, and he kissed my forehead, pulling me into a hug. "How did you sleep?" he asked, concern in his voice. "Good," I said, smiling. "No dreams." We chatted for a bit, and when I finished my coffee, he said, "Mom sent an omega to bring this Tonic for you. Said to take it before training." I took the offered container and saw the label. "Oh, that's so sweet of her," I said, remembering telling his mom about my nightmares. Damian nodded. "She said it'll help you relax and sleep better." I took a spoonful, and we headed out together, walking towards the training ground We arrived at the training ground to find Mark and Josh already there, warming up. Some pack members were training, while others were arriving. Josh walked over, a teasing grin on his face. "Wow, you two finally decided to grace us with your presence," he said, walking towards Damian. "Good morning, Alpha." Damian rolled his eyes. "Cut it out, Josh." Josh turned to me. "Good morning, Luna." I smi

After shopping, we headed to my family's residence, where Dani's parents joined us for dinner. The evening was pleasant, and we finalized the engagement ceremony and wedding plans. Two days later, my father called me into his office. I thought it was about the wedding, but I was wrong. "Bethnie, how are things going?" he asked, his expression unreadable. "Fine, Father. The wedding preparations are going perfectly well." "Are you happy about the whole thing?" he asked, his eyes glinting. I hesitated, unsure where this was going. "Yes, I'm happy. Thank you for accepting us." He smiled, a cold glare in his eyes. "I accepted because you'll never end up with him." Confusion washed over me. "What do you mean?" "I only said yes to all this to bring you back home, to make you let your guard down," he said, his voice dripping with malice. My bear was rising to the surface, and I knew I had to get out of her before i really kill this man. "There's no way I'll let you ma

Beth pov: Things haven't been going according to plan. Everything's going the opposite way. Damian hasn't accepted me or the child I'm carrying, and I don't know what to do. I've put in so much effort, and I can't let that good-for-nothing Omega mate of his ruin it all. I paced back and forth, wondering what my next move should be. The stakes are high, and I'm not ready to lose everything. Not because of some weak and useless Omega. I was beginning to wonder what was taking my father so long. He was supposed to meet me in my room to discuss our next plan. I called my guard, and he came in. "Where's my father?" I asked. "He's attending a council meeting, but he'll be here any minute," he replied. A few minutes later, the door opened, and my father walked in. The look in his eyes - hate and disappointment - told me things had gone bad. He sat down, poured himself a drink, and said, everything is not as it seems. We've underestimated people in this pack." "What do you m
