I pressed my face against the living room window for the tenth time in five minutes, watching the long driveway that wound through the forest. My heart hammered against my ribs like a caged bird.

"She'll be here soon," Ace said from behind me, his voice warm with amusement.

"I know. I just..." I turned to face him, wrapping my arms around myself. "I'm nervous."

"About seeing your sister?"

"About her being here. In our world." I gestured around the pack house's elegant sitting room. "What if she asks too many questions? What if she figures out that we are not exactly... normal?"

Ace crossed the room in three long strides, pulling me into his arms. The familiar scent of pine and something uniquely his immediately calmed my racing pulse.

"Hey," he murmured, tilting my chin to meet his eyes. "It's going to be fine. Lena loves you. That's all that matters."

"But what if—"

The sound of tires on gravel cut off my worries. My stomach dropped to my toes.

"They're here."

The moment our bedroom door closed behind us, the weight of the day finally hit me. We'd done it. We were married. Ace was officially king, and I was his queen. "Come here," Ace said softly, opening his arms. I practically melted into his embrace, my face pressed against his chest as his arms wrapped around me completely. The familiar scent of him -pine and warmth and something uniquely Ace – surrounded me like a cocoon. "Thank you," he whispered into my hair. "Thank you for making today the most perfect day of my entire life." "It was perfect, wasn't it?" "Beyond perfect. The ceremony, the hall, the surprise wedding..." His voice broke slightly. "You gave me everything I never knew I wanted." I pulled back to look at his face, seeing the emotion shining in his eyes. "You deserved it all. You deserve the world." "I already have my world. She's right here in my arms." My heart fluttered at his words. Even after everything we'd been through, he still had the power to mak

Something soft brushed against my cheek, pulling me from the depths of sleep. My eyes fluttered open to find Lily's face inches from mine, her smile radiant in the morning light streaming through our windows. "Good morning, my king," she whispered. The words sent electricity through my veins. Today was the day. The day I'd officially claim my birthright. "Not yet," I murmured, pulling her closer until she was pressed against my chest. "For a few more hours, I'm just yours." "You'll always be just mine." Her lips found mine in a kiss that tasted like promises and forever. I could have stayed in this bed all day, holding her, breathing her in, pretending the world outside didn't exist. But destiny was calling. "Come on," she said, pulling away with obvious reluctance. "We have a big day ahead of us." * * * The shower was large enough for two, steam rising around us as warm water cascaded over our intertwined bodies. Lily's hands were gentle as she washed my hair, her

My feet were screaming, my back ached, and I had paint under my fingernails. But as I stood in the doorway of the great hall, exhaustion was the furthest thing from my mind. It was perfect. "Holy shit," Eva breathed beside me. "Lily, this is..." "Magical," finished Jessica, her voice filled with awe. The transformation was complete. What had been a dusty, forgotten space four days ago was now something out of a fairy tale. Thousands of white roses cascaded from the ancient stone archways. Crystal chandeliers sparkled like captured starlight. Candles flickered in every alcove, casting dancing shadows across the polished marble floors. But it wasn't just beautiful. It was *meaningful*. Every detail told the story of our pack, our love, our journey to this moment. "The tapestries are perfect," I murmured, looking at the hand-woven banners that chronicled the pack's history. Eva had found them in storage and spent two days restoring them. "And the altar." Jessica pointed to

The morning sun filtered through our bedroom curtains, casting golden streaks across Ace's sleeping face. For a moment, I just watched him. The tension lines that had been carved into his features for weeks were finally softening. He looked peaceful. Almost boyish. "You're staring," he mumbled without opening his eyes. "Maybe." A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "See something you like?" "Always." He reached for me, pulling me closer against his warm chest. I could have stayed there forever, wrapped in this perfect bubble of contentment. But reality had other plans. A sharp knock interrupted our moment. "Alpha?" Marcus's voice carried through the door. "The council is requesting your presence." Ace groaned. "What time is it?" "Eight thirty." "Give us ten minutes." I felt Ace's body tense beneath me. The peaceful moment was over, replaced by the weight of leadership that never seemed to leave his shoulders. "Hey." I pressed my palm against his chest

The familiar scent of pine and earth hit me as soon as we crossed into pack territory. Home. After everything we'd been through, everything we'd survived, we were finally home. My body sagged with relief I didn't know I'd been holding. "You okay?" Ace asked, his hand finding mine across the center console. "Better than okay." I squeezed his fingers. "We're home." "We are." But I could hear the exhaustion in his voice. The weight of what he'd had to do back at the Gathering Grounds was still pressing on his shoulders. The image of James's blood-red eyes would probably haunt us both for a long time. The pack house came into view, warm light spilling from every window. People were gathered on the front steps, and my heart clenched when I recognized the familiar faces. "Is that...?" "Eva and Mom," Ace confirmed, a real smile crossing his face for the first time in days. The car had barely stopped before Eva was yanking open my door. Her dark hair whipped around her fac
