Amalthea's POV

"How was your training with Nic today?" Mikayla asked as I walked out of the library.

"Alright, I think we are making progress." I shrugged and it was true. After the first disastrous day we had at training, Nic and I had decided to focus on my combat and slowly ease into training my wolf to avoid any repeats.

"Are you guys done though? I saw Nic heading towards the words and I thought you would be going with him," she informed me and my brows creased for a second.

Nic had told me he would be cooped up with work in his office for the next few hours....had he lied to me?

"Thea?" Mikala called out to me, dragging me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, yeah right. I almost forgot about that, thanks." I said as I walked past her and made my way out of the pack house. I wasn't going to wait around to ask Nic so he could deny it, I was going to see where he was going for myself.
