My eyes widened, "b..but, he can't do that.. she.." I gasped.

Mom smiled. "They're just chosen mates, remember? It won't have an effect on either of them" She said. "Oh" I mouthed, now calming down.

I turned to Ariana. "Did you know he wasn't your fated mate?" I asked and she snapped her head at me, annoyed.

"What? How was I supposed to know?! All I knew was my wolf was angry at me, she didn't say anything to me either"

"Cause I couldn't!" Ariana's wolf came out.

I raised my brows. "Why?" I asked. "I don't know, Allytis was too strong, I couldn't resist him as he claimed and marked me" She said and Ariana took over again.

She then rolled her eyes as she continued eating. I turned to her again. "Would you accept his rejection?" I asked slowly. "Do I have a choice?" She muttered, her countenance now changing.

I nodded slowly then looked away, focusing back on my food which I just butchered repeatedly with my fork.
