Chapter 15. Superb Acting

Gabriel drove his car at a moderate speed. The streets looked deserted. Gabriel chose to access an alternative road to the forest in Colorado. The roads around the forest are rarely known by many people.

It absorbed me in staring at the beautiful scenery from behind the windshield. My lips occasionally uttered admiration when I saw animals emerging from the forest. I don't know how long it has been since I enjoyed the view outside with a relieved heart. I used to travel a lot, but I never felt this lighthearted.

The atmosphere that was originally cold has now turned warmer. Gabriel was no longer silent. He started to engage me in conversation and asked me about my favorite foods. I was happy because my relationship with him was no longer as rigid as before.

For me, this was more than enough. A relationship as friends is much better because we don't need to be bound by ties and are more relaxed about life.
