Chapter 78

I spent the night with Brax in his room, sneaking out before the sun was up. I don't know why, but I didn't like the idea of having to say goodbye to him, even though it was only for the weekend. Grabbing my bags, I headed downstairs, hoping that Nick was ready and waiting for me so we could hit the road. I'm never about going home. I know they will have a lot of questions for me that I don't want to answer.

As I made my way to the living room, I saw Nick sitting on the couch, looking at his phone. He looked up and smiled when he saw me.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," he teased.

I rolled my eyes and smirked. "are you ready to go?"

he stood up, grabbing his bag off the floor as he did. "Is Brax not coming to say goodbye?"

"He's still sleeping. I didn't want to wake him. I know he's had a lot on." As the words left my mouth, I heard someone come into the room, turning around. I'm met by Brax.
