Surprise

We walk in unnoticed, and take a seat in the darkest corner of this dive. I know I sound a bit snobbish, but I've grown accustomed to higher end joints. Looking around I've realized things never change here. It's like everything got stuck in time after my parents demise. I see some new faces and some old. I noticed Kane Tess's sisters mate, her family quit talking to Kendra after she accepted him, just because he's a vampire. Kane is a powerful vampire King of his clan, so I couldn't understand why they were so upset. I felt someone sliding next to me, I look up and see Tyler.

" Long time no see man." he said.

" How did you know it's me?" I asked

" Dude you're sitting in a dark corner you're not invisible." he replied. Sam giggling at him on the other side of me

" Prince Tyler this is my friend Samantha Hendricks. Samantha this is Prince Tyler the heir of the fox shifters." They nod at each other in acknowledgement.

" Bro our peeps are gonna freak when they see you." Tyler said with a huge grin.

" Yeah, but I want to be the one to surprise them, please don't say anything yet." I replied.

" No problem dude, I'm glad you're back." he said as he gripped my shoulder and walked away.

" He's cute and sweet," Sam cooed. I just rolled my eyes. I kept looking around for my family, and for her. Finally I saw my brothers and my cousin walk out from the back. They must have been playing pool.

" Whoa who's man bun over there? Fuck I think my ovaries busted just looking at him." Sam gasped.

" Down girl, that's my brother Tristan." I laughed.

" Yeah well I think I want to have his baby." she said.

" Just stop I don't want a visual of you 2 ok." I wrinkled my nose up at her.

" Be warned if I get the chance I'll send you a video after that comment." she smirked at me.

" Yeah like watching a p**n starring my brother and best friend is at the top of my bucket list." I shuddered inwardly.

Suddenly the sweetest smell of strawberries and chocolate hit my nostrils. My heart started racing and my eyes landed on her. She was walking out of the bathroom with Alyson. My wolf going crazy inside of me. I started sweating and panting.

" Mate" Hades declared excitedly.

Surprise Tess is my fated, she's always known.

What have I done? I've made a dire mistake with no way out.

" Sam, Tessa she's my mate, fuck I messed up. What can I do? I can't get out of that contract. I said trying to remain calm.

"Hey buddy I told you not to do it, but you never listen. Now you have too much on your plate. Good luck you're gonna need it." Sam replied shaking her head.

" Is there anything you can do magically to get me out of this?" I asked.

" I can't remove a mate bond jackass!" Sam hissed.

" Of course you can't, I meant getting me out of the contract." I countered.

" I don't know, I'd have to research some things." she glared at me.

" Nevermind I'll figure it out, the pack needs the investment." I mumbled.

"You really are an idiot. Tell me why are we friends?" she spat. I sigh thinking if my best friend is this disappointed at me, I don't want to think about my family. Goddess Tess will hate me.
