Chapter 2

After changing her work contract, Olivia no longer sat near her friend, Emma, she sat right in front of Mr. Liam and her work are so much more than she expected. But it was new for her and she loved it. Olivia and Emma started spending less time together, Emma always came home on time, while Olivia had to wait for her boss to finish his business.

She made a schedule for Liam's activities for the next week. She is also the one who reminds her boss if there is a meeting or other interests related to company matters. All work colleagues or other parties who wish to apply for cooperation with their company will also contact Olivia first to ask about the available schedule to meet her boss.

Liam is 28 years old, he's an Alpha and does look like an average Alpha. He is dominant, he is strong, he is smart, he is firm, he is indeed a good leader. He even looks very cold, he is only focused on his work. While the other Alphas are enjoying their heyday playing with lots of girls, it seems that only Liam is still looking straight for life.

He is the CEO of his father's company, he was born into a loving family, his father is clearly an Alpha, he found his Luna right when he was 30 years old. It took quite a while for an Alpha to find his mate.

The time is 10 am, in 15 minutes there is an important meeting that will be attended by some of his colleagues. Olivia also brought some files that she prepared for the meeting and entered her boss's room.

"Excuse me sir, your meeting will start in 15 minutes, I have prepared some material that will be discussed at this meeting" Olivia said and put the file on the table.

"Okay, thank you" Liam said and Olivia walked out of the room.

Every time Olivia walked into her boss's room, she felt so calm and peaceful. She liked the scent, like vanilla. A smell that doesn't hurt your nose when you inhale it, that's the smell that Olivia feels.

She also felt her body starting to get back to health, she was sure it was because of her job, she enjoyed her job and she already imagined what she would use her first salary as a secretary for.

Olivia is waiting outside her boss's room, she is ready for the meeting, but her boss hasn't come out of his room yet. She looked at her watch and 5 minutes until the meeting started. She decided to go back into the room and saw her boss was still in the same place.

"Excuse me sir, but the meeting is starting in 5 minutes, we have to get there soon, before it's too late" Olivia says and Liam just lifts his head.

"Go, you can replace me in this meeting" Liam said and how surprised Olivia was, she didn't prepare anything for her first meeting, all this time she just accompanied Liam beside him, she listened to how Liam gave his opinion in meetings but she never intended to replace him.

"But.. sir, I haven't prepared anything for this meeting" Olivia said.

"But you've got the materials ready, you just need to read a bit of the material and give your opinion if you have any. You'll be late if you don't go now" Liam says, looking at her with conviction, but Olivia just stays silent, she doesn't know how to refuse, but she also dunno how to take it.

Olivia finally sat among the bosses of other big companies. She had no choice but to come and sit there. But there was someone she had only seen during her time as secretary, the man sitting across from her. A man who seems familiar, she seems to have seen the man often, but she is sure she doesn't know who that person really is.

Olivia tried to focus on the meeting that time, she recorded all the discussions that were there, to later submit to her boss. The meeting lasted long enough and finally it ended too, Olivia came out of the room together with that man. They stood next to each other while waiting for the elevator.

But something caught Olivia's nose, she had a familiar scent, a fresh scent she had always longed for. She turned towards the man.

"Good afternoon Mr. Billy, looks like this is your first time working with our company, right?" Olivia ventured to greet him.

"Oh good afternoon Mrs. Olivia, yes this is my first time working together here"

"I'm sorry but I don't have a mate yet" Olivia smiled, doesn't this guy see if there are no bite marks on Olivia's neck, that means she's single.

"Oh yeah, I'm sorry Miss Olivia" Billy said.

Olivia returned to her desk, she was still curious about why the scent on Billy's body looked a little like Lea's. While Olivia was still busy thinking about it, the sound of the telephone startled her, it was her boss's intercom call. She picked it up and her boss asked her to his room.

She walked into the room and saw her boss standing over his desk with a coffee cup in his hand.

"How was the meeting? You haven't given me the results of the meeting" Liam says.

"Ah yes, I'm sorry sir, these are the results of the meeting before" Olivia gave the results sheet that she was working on during the meeting earlier. Liam took it and checked the sheet.

"Okay, you can go back to your desk, is there another meeting today?" Liam said.

"Yes sir, meeting with Mr. Sam at 3 pm, I will prepare the materials first" Olivia said.

"Come with me, I'm too lazy to meet him alone, it's not a meeting if he just wants to meet at the cafe" Liam said, he said that while walking to his chair and sat down.

"Yes sir" Olivia rushed off to prepare her materials before lunch.

Emma, who saw that her best friend was exhausted, immediately came over with iced coffee in her hand.

"This is for you" Emma said.

"Is it time for lunch?" Olivia said and Emma shook her head.

"I made it myself, have a drink, you look tired, but not as bad as usual" Emma said.

"Emma, do you remember my best friend Lea that I told you about?"

"Yeah, what's wrong with her?"

"Earlier when I attended the meeting, I saw a man, I'm sure I've seen him but I forgot where I saw that man, his name is Billy, it seems he just worked with our company. So I just saw him. Strangely, when I was beside him I like smelling Lea's scent nearby"

"What do you mean he's Lea's mate?"

"But shouldn't Alpha's scent change yours when they mating?" Olivia said.

"Yeah, that's right. Or he brought something related to his mate".

"But.. why do I feel like I knew that man long before meeting him today?" Olivia said.

"There's no way he's your mate right?" Emma said.

"I don't feel anything when I'm near him, after all he already has a mate"

"Don't you know? Alpha can have two mates at once. But not all Alpha can do it, only the strongest Alpha and has the pure blood of an Alpha can do it"

"No, I don't think he's my mate, I don't like his scent, it just reminds me of Lea" Olivia said.
