Catherine pov

I just stood there, staring at Lucas, wondering how he got here. I was surprised to see the Alpha laughing with him.

"Come, Lora dear, this guy is funny," when I saw the Alpha say that, I wondered if he was under a spell or something.

I just stood there, not breathing, as I watched Lucas stand up and walk towards me. I took a moment to observe him. He was tall, with dark hair that looked silky to the touch. His brown eyes were so deep that I felt like I was staring into a never-ending abyss. He smelled of cinnamon and musk, and the sound of his voice was like music to my ears.

"May I?" he said as he moved closer to me, lifting his hands forward and smiling at me. I nodded and took his hands in mine as we walked over to the dining table where the Alpha sat.

As we walked, I noticed the way his fingers felt interlaced with mine, sending shivers down my spine. The sound of his footsteps echoed in my ears as we approached the table. The Alpha kept laughing whenever Lucas spok
