Chapter 30: Confrontation 2

I reached home before Emiliano arrived. While having dinner, Emiliano kept glancing at me. A few times our eyes would meet and I will be forced to look down. Ginevra didn’t notice, she was busy eating and speaking about anything possible. After dinner, I followed Ginevra to her room. I wonder why she doesn’t like sleeping in Emiliano’s room. When I asked, she told me she was used to her room now. I shrugged my shoulders. I made sure she was fast asleep before I left her room. I descended the staircase. From up on the staircase, I saw Emiliano walking to and fro in the living room. I paused. He looked up at me. I continued walking down. I reached to the living room. He tramped toward me, grabbing my wrist and pulling me to a side.

“Hey, what are you doing?” I protested, trying to free my hand from him. He let go of my hand and I staggered back, rubbing my wrist to ease the pain.

“Why were you trailing me?” he groaned, making sure to calm his voice not to wake Ginevra up.
