Chapter 0006

Damien stared at Aurora, unblinkingly.

The shock of seeing her here rendered him speechless.

He thought she was long dead by now.

The last thing that he would expect was to see Aurora here in Ever Moon Pack, safe and sound.

Chloe made a sharp stop right after Damien. She also couldn’t believe her own eyes.

…Aurora was ALIVE?

How was this even possible!

Those rogues should have ended her 6 months ago. Her flesh and bones should have rotten underground already!

Even if she did mange to escape the rogues somehow, how did she end up here? Looking so stunning and noble…almost like a real princess!!!

Chloe’s breathings quickened as a wave of hatred and jealousy surged up in her chest.

Taking an abrupt step forward, she pointed a finger at Aurora and shrieked:

“—You cunning bitch! How did you sneak in here?!”

The soldiers standing guard on either side of the corridor turned their heads and looked over, their expressions cold and grim.

Aurora raised an eyebrow, “Me? Sneaking in here?”

“If you didn’t sneak in, how did you get in here anyway!” cried Chloe sharply. “This is a party for Alphas and nobles only! And you are just a lowly, filthy commoner! A commoner who was rejected by my Alpha and ended up as the rogues whore—”

Aurora narrowed her eyes icily.

Surrounding them, the soldiers clenched their swords and started to close up on Chloe.

Yet Chloe didn’t notice the approaching danger.

She was still lashing out on Aurora:

“How many rogues had fucked you, huh?! If I were you, I would kill myself a long time ago in shame! How dare you show your face at such a big occasion! You disgusting tramp—”

SLAP!

Aurora landed a hot slap on Chloe’s face, almost knocking her to the ground.

“Do not raise your voice in front of me.” Aurora sneered, “And certainly do not call me a tramp. DO YOU HEAR ME?”

Chloe staggered back with that slap mark on her face, horrified. Even Damien looked astonished.

Aurora was so wishy-washy when they were in Silver Blade Pack.

She never talked back—let along slap or hit—anybody!

What changed her?!

Chloe was trembling in shock and horror. Straightening up, she shrieked at Aurora:

“You—You slapped me?! How dare you, you lowly commoner—”

Suddenly, her arms were seized by the soldiers. With stern faces, the soldiers gave a heavy kick to her knees, causing Chloe's legs to give way and forcing her to kneel on the ground.

“Are you fucking insane?!” Chloe struggled against the soldier’s iron grip. “I am with Alpha Damien, idiots! You are using violence on Silver Blade Pack’s future LUNA!”

“Let her go.”

Damien spoke up and stared at those guards sullenly, “Chloe is with me. She is also your guest!”

Aurora let out a small chuckle and asked the usher who had followed Damien and Chloe here, “Did you check their invitations?”

The usher bowed and replied humbly, “Alpha Damien’s name is on the list.”

“Just him? What about this woman?” Aurora glanced at Chloe, who was still knelt on the floor.

“I didn’t see her name,” said the usher.

“Are you fucking deaf? I told you—Alpha Damien invited me!” Chloe cried and turned to Damien, her eyes filled with tears instantly. “Damien, my love, are you going to let them bully me like this…?”

Damien looked at Aurora with an icy gaze, “Release Chloe. And I will let this slide.”

Aurora let out a low chuckle.

…Let this slide?

This was not Silver Blade Pack and she wasn’t his Luna and mate anymore. Damien didn’t get to act all mighty and condescending here!

Aurora ignored Damien’s threat and turned to the soldiers, saying in a cold voice, “This pack meeting does not allow guests to bring plus-ones. DRAG THIS WOMAN OUT OF HERE!”

Those guards didn’t hesitate at all before they lunged at Chloe.

Chloe let out a sharp cry, her face twisted in anger and terror.

She didn’t get it! Why were Ever Moon Pack’s soldiers listening to Aurora?

Aurora…Aurora was just a commoner! She was born with a rich family but Mr. and Mrs. Ravenwood had disowned her!

How did Aurora have such big influence on Ever Moon Pack’s soldiers?

What on earth happened in the past 6 months?

“If I can’t be here—”

Chloe suddenly cried out, trying to break free from guards but failed:

“—then what are you still doing here? You are not on any invitation either!”

Aurora rolled her eyes. She was about to explain when she heard a deep voice behind her:

“Of course, she does.”

Everybody turned around.

A handsome man just made his way down the staircase. He narrowed his eyes into slits and stared at Damien gloomily.

“Alpha Lance!”

All soldiers and servants bowed to him in unison.

Lance paced over, keeping his sharp gaze fixed upon Damien, and said, “Your mistress disrespected Aurora. I want her apology. Right here. Right now. Or Silver Blade Pack is out of this year’s Annual Meeting.”

The hallway lapsed into a deathly silence.

Lance was kicking Damien out of the meeting! This was shocking given that Silver Blade was one of the 5 largest pack in the world!

But Lance was even more powerful than Damien and he was the host of this year’s meeting. So certainly, he had the right.

“Are you serious right now, Alpha Lance?” Damien gritted, an infuriated look on his face. “Aurora slapped Chloe first. And Chloe is my mistress, a royal member, whereas Aurora is just a commoner. If anyone needs to apologize, it should be Aurora not Chloe—”

“Commoner?!”

Lance burst out laughing.

“Who said Aurora was just a commoner?”

He wrapped one arm around Aurora’s wrist pulling her close and smiled:

“Everyone, meet my sister, the one and only princess in Ever Moon Pack—Aurora Everhart!”
