The ride

***Luke***

"I have found her!" I shouted walking through the doors. People lifted their eyes at me and my mum asked:

"Found who, honey?"

"My mate, our Luna" I replied excitedly.

" Oh, that's amazing news, but where is she then? "

"Well that's where we have a little problem. She's a human and she doesn't seem to know who am I to her or she to me." I sat down and let my head hang, trying to figure out what should I do next and how do I tell her.

"Honey, I bet she feels it, she just can't put her finger on it. You'll have to spend more time with her and tell her eventually. Just be patient. What's her name?" asked my mother.

"Rebecca" I smiled. I loved her name on my lips.

"Sounds like she got you wrapped around her little finger already" chuckled Ryan.

" You know how long I was looking for her, and how I longed for my mate. I just want her next to me right now"

I said growling.

Everyone looked at me with smiling faces. I know their are happy for their Alpha, but what will it take to convince Rebecca, to win her over. I really hope that the mate bond I feel is just as strong for her and she will be naturally pulled towards me.

***Rebecca***

I woke up fairly early this morning, so I went for a run, then had a shower, went down for breakfast and got ready to leave. I have arrived at ranch just before ten and Luke was already standing outside waiting for me.

His eyes lit up when he saw me and he walked towards my car to open the doors for me.

"Good morning, boss" I said with a cheeky smile.

"Good morning, Rebecca and really call me Luke" he smiled.

"No problem, boss" I teased more. I was in really good mood today and felt comfortable around Luke already, even though we just met. He rolled his eyes at me and we took off toward the stables.

There were many beautiful steeds in the stables, Luke showed me around and introduced me to the staff that was working. They were all very pleasant and bowed their heads while saying hello.

"The horses are so beautiful " I said.

"They are" said Luke "Want to go for a ride?" he asked.

"Oh, I would love to, but I never learned to ride. Always wanted to, just never had a chance" I replied.

"Not a problem, I will teach you" said Luke.

He went back into stables and five minutes later came out with a beautiful black horse.

"You not gonna go for a ride?" I asked, I only saw one horse.

"I am, with you. I think I should ride with you for first lesson, just in case" he said smiling at me.

"Oh. Yeah that's a good idea" I replied.

"If you come from this side I will help you get on the horse. His name is Onyx by the way. Onyx meet Rebecca, Rebecca meet Onyx" he laughed.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Onyx" I giggled.

I went around next to Luke so he could show me how to get onto horse back, but instead he put his arms around my waist from behind and lifted me up. I gasped from the sparks that ran through my body from his touch. "Get a hold of yourself woman" I thought to myself. I just broke off the engagement not long back and I felt like I didn't want another man in my life yet. I didn't help that Luke was so damn attractive and build like a sin.

I was deep in my thoughts went I felt Luke sit just behind me and put his hand on my hip. Well this isn't gonna be easy, I thought. I felt those damn sparks again. What on earth was he doing to me..

***Luke***

I felt delicious sparks running through my body as I sat behind her. And all I wanted to do was pull her body into me and breath her in. My eyes went black from the pleasure a mere touch to her body was giving me. Keep hold of yourself, I mumbled. We need to go slow and steady, I can't scare her away.

We rode around the ranch for couple of hours, meeting my pack, well our pack, she will be their Luna after all. News travelled very fast and most of the pack already knew who she was, and was smiling and greeting us, while we rode.

She looked relaxed and greeted everyone back with the most beautiful smile I've seen in my life. She was so perfect and without realising it I pulled her towards me and wrapped my hand around her waist. She stiffened a bit and I realised what I have just done. I am so done, she will freak out and run away, leaving me and my wolf. But to my surprise she relaxed in few seconds and seemed to lean into my embrace. My wolf was hauling from excitement.

***Rebecca ***

We been riding for couple of hours and meeting so many people in ranch, I even lost count. Everyone was so nice and greeted us along the way. It felt so nice and calm in this beautiful ranch, I am really glad I found my way here.

Suddenly Luke pulled me into him and snaked his arm around my waist, I felt the tingling on my waist and excitement inside. I stiffened for a moment, but then I felt so warm and pleasant that I relaxed and leaned back into Luke. His embrace felt comfortable and safe.

"Would you like to get some lunch?" Luke asked quietly.

"I could eat" I said.

"Good, let go to our house" he said.

"Our house?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah, our family's house. All those people you have met today are my family, my relatives. We all live in this ranch and we all spend time together in my house pretty much every day. So it's like everybody's home really" he explained.

"That must be nice, to have so many people around that care for each other" I said quietly.

Luke stopped the horse and lifted my chin to look into my eyes. The sparks broke onto my skin and I gazed into those perfect brown eyes. His eyes were full of worry and love? Was I imagining things? He must have felt the sadness in my voice.

"Why are you sad?" he asked voice full of worry.

This man is just to good to be true, he is so gentle and caring. And it doesn't even matter for him that we just met. Even Matt was never that caring and gentle.

"I am not sad, just wish I could ever have had something even remotely similar to what you have in this ranch, this family" I answered.

"But you are a part of this family already" he whispered.

"I'm just going to be working here, Luke. That doesn't make me a family" I said.

"No, you are more than that. You are my soul mate, my one and only mate, my everything. I have been searching and longing for you all these years. So you are my family and you are their Luna" he said with pride.

I looked at him with shock in my eyes, not understanding what was he saying and why. I'll need a lot of answers.
