"Jack." I swallowed, unable to believe my eyes as I stared at him. This felt like a nightmare.

He seemed to be just as shocked as his feet remained glued to the floor but the moment that my brain came awake and I was able to gather my consciousness and make sense of my environment, I took to my feet. I didn't expect that he would come after me but I soon heard his footsteps as he began to  come behind me in faster strides. Seriously? I thought to myself.
