Greg watched me with wary eyes. "Do you want us to open it here or in the car?"
I thought about his question. Depending on the results of the test, I was either going to cry or laugh. If it was the former, I really wanted to be alone to avoid people talking about me as I opened it but I also wanted to be able to talk to the doctor.
"Let's open it in the car." I suggested. Since we were parked in the hospital parking lot, we could easily come back here if we really had to.
Greg waited for me to open it once we were in the car.
I stared blank at the results, rereading the written words in it over and over again.
