Chapter 3

　　Araceli POV

　　I was lying on the floor covered with blood and once again felt the sharp pain in my abdomen.

　　What was going on?

　　I had felt such labor pains just before I gave birth to the twins.

　　I touched my abdomen and felt something was wrong.

　　Was there still a baby in my womb?

　　My eyes snapped open in shock.

　　I pushed hard in a hurry. The blood gushed out again.

　　A tearing sensation came over me. I felt like I was just about to pass out.

　　I bit my bottom lip hard to keep myself awake.

　　I knew that if I passed out, this baby would die.

　　I bit the tip of my tongue. The blood gushed into my mouth, which cleared my head a little.

　　"Waa-waa..."

　　A baby's faint cry rang out.

　　I braced my upper body hard and looked between my legs.

　　Wait... There were two babies!

　　It turned out that I was pregnant with four babies.

　　That was why my belly had been incredibly large and I had been eating a lot.

　　I looked around me and didn't know what to do.

　　It was all Melany's plot.

　　In order to replace me as Eclipse's heir, Melany plotted to kill me and my babies.

　　I looked down at my two babies.

　　They were a boy and a girl, and they were covered in blood.

　　I swore in my heart that I would protect them with my life.

　　I carefully took them into my arms and kissed their cheeks.

　　I smelled the strong odor of gasoline. An intense heat rushed in through the door.

　　I looked up and saw a roaring fire outside the door.

　　The fire came in through a crack between the door and its frame and started burning all the furniture in the place.

　　"No! It's on fire! Help!"

　　I rapped on the door like crazy, screaming.

　　No one answered me.

　　Melany knew 30% of Eclipse Group's shares belonged to me, and I also got the technical exclusive rights of all the products. As long as I was alive, I would always be the largest shareholder of Eclipse Group.

　　Even if she became the heir, she would not get my shares.

　　She could only kill me. After I died, she would reasonably get everything that belonged to me.

　　The warehouse became extremely hot. I crawled to the corner with two babies in my arms. They cried out in my arms, as if sensing the impending danger.

　　"Baby, it's okay. Everything will be fine. Mommy will protect you."

　　I cried desperately. I didn't know why, but I felt a surge of power tumbling through my body.

　　I opened my eyes and looked up at the window on the roof.

　　I started coughing violently. I hurriedly tore off a piece of my already blood-soaked dress and used it to cover my mouth and nose.

　　In a panic, I felt my daughter coughing violently. Tears were streaming from her eyes.

　　I knew something went wrong. If I couldn't get out of here as soon as possible, my little daughter would die soon.

　　The smoke from the fire was so thick and heavy. I knew they couldn't hold on much longer.

　　In the emergency, I closed my eyes and felt the power inside me.

　　"Araceli, are you calling me?"

　　It was as if the surroundings became quiet as death. I heard a voice, and it was resonating with my brain.

　　It was my wolf. I knew she was always there.

　　After I got pregnant, I felt some connections with her.

　　I opened my eyes and stared out that window, my eyes glowing with a golden glare.

　　I jumped up, shattered the glass with my body, and leapt out the window.

　　Breathing in the fresh air, I felt fresh and comfortable.

　　I fled the place. The fire engulfed everything behind me. The window I had just jumped out of had sprung into flames.

　　I ran out some distance, lowered my head, and looked at my babies.

　　My son was still breathing. Although his brow was furrowed, he seemed fine.

　　But my daughter...

　　I hurriedly stopped and held my daughter in my arms.

　　She looked like she was about to stop breathing.

　　Something was wrong with her eyes, but I couldn't tell what was going on right now.

　　I felt her faint breathing and could only hold her small body, trying to warm her.

　　Suddenly, she coughed violently and waved her hands.

　　I knew she was going to die... I broke down and cried in pain.

　　"No!!! Please, someone save her... Baby... Please don't die..."

　　I felt my body gradually changing back to its original form. I saw my legs become long and fair.

　　My daughter's body in my arms gradually warmed up. Her heartbeat began to return to normal, and her breathing evened out as well.

　　"What's happening? Little girl, I almost thought I was going to lose you..."

　　I cried and kissed both of them gently.

　　I believed it was a miracle.

　　They sucked on their fingers, oblivious to what had just happened.

　　I gritted my teeth, looked in the direction I had come from, and left without a second thought.
