Chapter 43 - "If you really loved me, you wouldn't have hurt me.”

Amelia’s point of view:

What was he thinking when he locked me in here with his Lycan sister to watch over me? Did he think I’d try to run away while he wasn’t here? I’d be a fool if I thought escaping a pack of Lycans was a smart move.

“Where’s your brother? I need to talk to him.” I bellowed.

“He’s not –” She paused and looked sideways, her eyes turning glossy. Was she speaking to her wolf?

She turned to look at me and said, “He’s coming over right now. He should be here –” She didn’t get to complete her sentence.

We both turned to look in the direction of the door when it clicked unlocked from outside. It was Alejandro. The moment I saw his face, I could feel the anger growing, bubbling up inside me.

Breathing hard, I stomped towards him and stopped once I was at an arm distance. “How could you?” I demanded.

He looked past my shoulders at his sister and jutted his chin at her. “Niana, you can go.”

She didn’t need to be told again. She left without another word, not wanting to defy
