I heard growls from afar, knowing that they were coming to get me.

“ You can't get caught, Ava,” I said to myself as I panted. I didn't stop even for a second.

“ Please moon goddess, help me. Guide me to find the barrier,” I prayed.

Tears started rolling down from my eyes when I heard the sound of the paws hitting against the forest ground. Wiping the tears away using the back of my hand, I increased my speed before I fell on the damp ground when my feet hit a broken and dried branch of a tree.

I groaned in pain as I tried to sit up. The pain was too intense for me to do anything. And from the pain I knew my leg was bleeding.

“ No no no,” I said, shaking my head when the sound of the growl got nearer.

I somehow managed to get up and walked towards the other way dragging my feets. My heart raced, when I looked back.

I gasped, turning my head and walking, dragging my injured leg with me. Then my gaze fell on something which looked like a crack from where a rainbow kind of lig
