Slipping into the refreshing embrace of the shower, the water cascaded over her body, washing away any lingering traces of sleep. The droplets danced upon her skin, rejuvenating her senses and awakening every fiber of her being. With each gentle stroke of her hands, she cleansed away the remnants of yesterday.

Stepping out of the shower, she wrapped herself in a plush towel, relishing the soothing warmth against her skin. Opting for a comfortable yet stylish ensemble, she chose a baggy top that draped gracefully over her frame, exuding an air of effortless confidence. Paired with cargo trousers, their practicality and rugged charm echoed her adventurous spirit.

The corridors of the school seemed to hum with a vibrant energy as Selena made her way through them. The soft click of her footsteps resonated in harmony with the fluttering of her heart. Each turn revealed glimpses of fellow students bustling about, their own journeys intertwined with hers.

Reaching the campus lawn, Selena's eyes scanned the surroundings, searching for Lucas's

"Hey, Selena," Lucas greeted with a warm smile, his eyes brightening at the sight of her..

"hi" Selena replied with a little wave.

"So where would you like to see first?" Lucas asked with an eyebrow up.

"where all the action happens" Selena replied with a smile growing on her face.

"That would be the combat training ground,"Lucas said as he started walking.

Their footsteps led them towards the heart of the school, where the combat training ground awaited. As they approached, the air grew charged with a sense of anticipation, the distant echoes of clashing weapons filling the space. The scent of sweat and determination lingered in the air, intermingling with the faint scent of earth.

They stepped onto the training ground, Selena's gaze swept across the sprawling arena. Warriors clad in various attire engaged in a dance of skill and precision, their movements fluid yet fierce. As we perched on the rooftop, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, a gentle breeze caressed my skin, sending a shiver down my spine.

Lucas turned to face me, his eyes capturing the fading colors of the sky. His presence beside me felt comforting, like a beacon of light amidst the uncertainty that had plagued my heart. I couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of peace wash over me in his company.

In the tranquil silence, Lucas's voice broke through, his words carrying a sense of wonder that mirrored the emotions stirring within my own being. His question hung in the air, laden with meaning and an unspoken connection.

"Selena, can you feel it?" he asked, his voice soft yet filled with undeniable intensity. "There's something undeniably powerful between us, as if our paths were destined to intertwine."

I gazed into his eyes, captivated by the sincerity shining through. A surge of emotions welled up within me. The walls I had carefully built around my heart began to crumble, allowing the warmth of his presence to seep in. I longed to reach out, to embrace the connection that stretched between us, yet fear held me back.

Lucas leaned in for a kiss but In that fleeting moment, I flinched, uncertainty clouding my thoughts. With a heavy heart, I moved away, my footsteps carrying me off the rooftop and into the depths of my own contemplation. Thoughts whirled in my mind as I walked, each step a testament to the internal battle raging within me.

I pondered the significance of Lucas's words, the weight they carried, and the depth of the emotions we both felt. I couldn't deny the undeniable connection between us, the pull that seemed to defy logic and reason.

As I strolled along the familiar path, the world around me seemed to blur, I questioned my own fears, the walls I had built to shield myself from potential heartache.

Third person Pov

As Selena walked, lost in the labyrinth of her thoughts, the minutes slipped away unnoticed. The familiar surroundings of the school gradually gave way to the enveloping darkness of the night. The moon cast an ethereal glow, casting long shadows that danced ominously on the path before her.

Suddenly, a low growl pierced through the stillness, shattering her reverie. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned towards the source of the sound. A pack of wolves emerged from the shadows, their eyes gleaming with an eerie intensity.

Fear seized Selena's body, her breath catching in her throat. She felt a surge of adrenaline course through her veins, her instincts screaming at her to flee. But her feet seemed rooted to the spot, paralyzed by a mix of terror and fascination.

The wolves circled her, their growls growing louder and more menacing. Selena's mind raced, desperately searching for a way to escape this perilous situation. She felt a surge of regret for venturing out alone, unaware of the dangers lurking beyond the school's protective walls.

Her heart pounded in her chest, a symphony of fear and anticipation. Each breath she took felt shallow, as if the very air had turned heavy with the weight of imminent danger. The moon, once a comforting presence, now served as a haunting backdrop to this sinister encounter.

Time seemed to stretch, seconds morphing into agonizing minutes. Selena's eyes darted from one wolf to another, searching for any sign of weakness, any opportunity to survive this harrowing encounter. Her mind raced, attempting to recall any advice or knowledge that could help her in this dire situation.

As Selena stood there, trapped in the midst of the encircling wolves, a palpable sense of dread gripped her. The menacing growls grew louder, reverberating through the night air. Fear coursed through her veins like icy tendrils, threatening to paralyze her.

But just as the wolves lunged forward, their teeth bared and their eyes filled with hunger, a figure emerged from the darkness. A wolf with a majestic coat, its fur a shimmering golden hue, leaped out in front of Selena, positioning itself as a formidable barrier between her and the oncoming pack.

Time seemed to slow as Selena's eyes locked with those of the golden eyed wolf. There was a depth of understanding, an unspoken connection that passed between them in that fleeting moment. The wolf's presence exuded an aura of power and command, as if it held authority over the wild creatures that sought to harm her.

A fierce battle cry erupted from the wolf's throat, a resonating howl that seemed to shake the very ground beneath them.

As the resonating howl of the golden eyed wolf pierced the night, a wave of raw power and authority washed over the surroundings. It was as if the very essence of the cry commanded respect and obedience from the other wolves.

In an instant, the atmosphere shifted. The once aggressive pack members now recoiled, their predatory instincts overridden by a primal fear. Their ears flattened against their heads, and their tails tucked between their hind legs as they scrambled away, retreating into the shadows.

“Who are you?” Selena asked in fear but full of curiosity. As the golden eyed wolf retreated into the darkness, Selena's breath caught in her throat. adrenaline coursing through her veins slowly subsided, replaced by a mix of relief and bewilderment. And then, in a mesmerizing display of transformation, the wolf shifted and morphed back into a human form, standing before Selena as none other than Lucas himself.

”You're...... You're a Lycan?" Selena said, stammering , her eyes filled in shock.
