"Another fight with your father?" Elena asked when she saw Krisen approaching in angry steps.

She arched a brow as she jested. "Take a chill pill, big wolf, you might cause a big wave."

Krisen frowned. "You really know how to add more woods to a wild fire," he narrowed his eyes at her.

This she wolf was his friend, but sometimes he wished he could sell her off to the highest bidder.

Elena looked around frantically, "Oh ... that was a fire? How come I saw no smoke?" she added in raw sarcasm as she burst into laughter.

Her joy was short lived the moment she saw Krisen’s canines draw out, and she knew she had pissed him off.

She gulped down. "Eh, Krisen, you don't have to draw your canines out so long you know."

Fear crept into her when she saw Krisen approaching her with a killer gaze and his canines drawn out to its full length.

Elena could feel her heart beating wildly against her rib cage. It seemed like she might really die today.

"Kris ... Krisen you win okay" she started to stutter as she stepped back in fear. "I ... I take it back okay?"

She was getting really scared now she saw his nails grow longer into claws.

How could she have forgotten?

Krisen's wolf did not like her. Krisen could take her petty jokes, but no one knows when his wolf would come out to play.

Goddess! She might really die today.

Krisen was already a breath away from her. Whereas, Elena was already at the brink of the sea. She closed her eyes and her breathing seized as she dreaded the worst.

"Boo!" Krisen growled and the frightened Elena staggered backwards.

"Ahh!" Elena shrieked as she pathetically fell into the water.

Krisen transformed back into his human form and stretched out a mocking smirk, "I was on fire but look who needed to be put out ... you are all drenched" *tsk tsk*

He shook his head in pity as he turned his back to her and stretched his legs one after the other to leave.

"Krisen!!!!!" Elena was boiling in anger, feeling extremely embarrassed. "Ugh," she groaned out. Now she needed a change of body covering.

When Krisen had walked a reasonable distance, he transformed fully into his wolf formand raced deep into the woods.

His wolf was magnanimous compared to other wolves. Some thought it was an anomaly, and even his mother feared it to be a disease, but as he grew older there was no side effects whatsoever.

As a matter of fact, he grew healthier and his senses grew sharper, his eye sight became far keener even in the dark, but that knowledge was known to him alone and his bite could dig into any skin and tear it out with ease.

Krisen raced till the edge of the cliff, one could see the sea from there. His golden and black fur shined as the sun graced it, and he wondered if there was a world beyond the sea.

He had an itching feeling all of a sudden for such knowledge, and one day, he would know. He might be able to survive the sea but no one knew how wide the sea was so he could not probably swim towards nowhere, he might get swallowed by it when he wears out.

"Awooooo," he howled into the air, feeling frustrated. He wished he could go anywhere else that wasn't here.

At this same time, Dimitri who was grabbing the ropes positioned in a line as an exercise missed a rope and fell into the mud. "Ah!" she cried out.

Moko looked at her sternly. "Again," he ordered with a frown.

Dimitri tiredly stood up from the mud. She was the only one with her father remaining in the training square, she was already exhausted and her hands were sore and injured but her father did not seem to care or notice.

She swallowed her pain and went to the ropes, she would have to do it all over again.

As she pulled herself up with the first rope, she hissed out in pain and a tear slipped from her eyes.

It hurt so much, but she endured the pains as she stretched to the next rope, then the next, till she finally reached the end of the line.

"Good, now let's head home." Mokospoke blankly as he turned to leave without waiting for Dimitri.

In his belief, she had to train herself to be worthy of walking beside him.

Dimitri followed behind with her face facing the floor, downcast, as she walked, thinking to herself when she would ever be worthy, and when will the training finally end?

"You should never forget that all we do, we do for you." Moko suddenly uttered out of the blue, he was a strict person but he still had a little moral in him.

Dimitri did not know what to reply, so all she could do was nod in understanding.

If she intends to complain or ask the questions that were always roaming in her mind, it might attract more punishments in form of training or the reply she will get would be 'you are a Saw and Heir to the Island.'

She sighed out sadly.

Moko heard her sigh and paused in his tracks. "Do you have a problem with what I just said?" His back was still facing her as he asked.

Dimitri gulped; she did not realise her sigh was that audible, she stuttered in fear."N ... No father."

Only the heavens knew how fast her heart was beating now.

Mokohas always disliked her stutter and this time was not different. "You always stutter when you speak.”

His frown was deep as he stared down at Dimitri.“I thought you would get better as you grow older, but I was wrong.I believe it is time to get you a speech instructor." He uttered in a dissatisfied tone.

"A Saw child who cannot speak well, how disgraceful." He muttered to himself in disappointment as he continued walking.

Dimitri did not continue to follow like earlier. Although his voice was low she still heard it, her voice broke down in a whisper. “A disgrace?”

She did not know why she stutters sometimes, she was not a stutter in her early yearsof growing up, all her life changed when she clocked ten.

Dimitri looked at Moko's distant figure and her heart felt like something heavy had been pressed down on it.

She had stopped walking behind him for a while now but he did not look back even once to check on her.

Did he not notice, or did he notice but did not care?

Jolly and Jen walked towards Krisen’s room cautiously, neither of them wanted to be shouted at nor leave him be after what happened at the moon meal. “You knock,” Jolly urged Jen as she stepped to the side; away from the door. Jen pouted in grievance as she argued, “Why do I have to be the one to knock? You are the bravest between us two. You should knock.” She pulled Jolly forward to stand in front of the door as she replaced her in her position beside the door. She raised both her thumbs into the air as she stretched out an encouraging smile on her lips, “You can do this!” Jolly rolled her eyes, she breathed out heavily before raising her hand to knock on the door, but the door was pulled open from the inside before her knuckles could reach the door. Her eyes bulged as she saw Krisen standing in front of the open space with a light frown on his face. Jen stood frozen by the side as she pressed her body further into the wall; wishing she could immerse herself into it. Jolly b

Elena stood in front of the training ground with her arms folded in front of her chest; her face strained. Hera stood beside her with a puzzled expression, “What are you on about, Elena?” she turned her head towards her. “Nothing I can’t handle.” Elena responded grimly as her gaze remained focused on the entrance of the training ground. “It’s about that dirt, right? I heard she is an angel.” Hera sated with sheer disgust. “Does this mean she won’t face any punishments? It’s her fault that we have to train endlessly these past suns. I hate her.” Just as they were still speaking, Dimitri walked into the training grounds with Suban following behind with a blank look on his face. “Speaking of thedirt, here she comes.” Hera ridiculed as she glared daggers at Dimitri. “How does she make Suban follow her like a loyal dog, she is definitely doing something to make him so blind.” Dimitri watched as Elena walked towards her, she closed her eyes and let out a tired breath, “Goddess, I hav

The fog filled forest had darkened more than normal as the looming presence remained like a whisper in the air. Dimitri was even more certain that she wasn’t imagining things, “William, is that you?” she demanded into the air but no response was given. Her eyes roamed around, “I don’t know what you think you are trying to achieve by acting like a coward. You better show yourself this instant.” Her eyes burned with repulse as she thought about a million things to do to him when he finally shows up. A dangerous chill crawled through her skin when the faint moon light casted a shadow in front of her. Someone was standing behind her. She clenched her jaw hard as she calculated her steps and actions precisely, and with one swift turn, she launched her fist; aiming towards the figure. Her brows knotted in confusion as her eyes showed disbelief, “Suban?” she called out with uncertainty as she stopped her fist in time. Dimitri’s fist remained mid-air as she scanned through the figure

Krisen and Dimitri walked through the fog filled forest in silence with both their faces maintaining a blank expression. They looked like strangers who just happened to be walking on the same path. Dimitri glanced at Krisen from the corner of her eyes several times like she wanted to say something but she didn’t actually say it. Krisen let out a breath through his mouth, “What is it?” he demanded as he turned to face her; trapping her under his gaze. Dimitri stopped walking and also turned to meet his gaze squarely, “Nothing,” she responded blankly. A frown pulled down at the side of Krisen’s lips, “Are you going to speak out or not?” he took a step towards her as his gaze displayed a warning. Dimitri narrowed her eyes on him, “What is with you and always trying to intimidate me? If you know just who I am, you wouldn’t even dream of doing this.” She reprimanded; feeling vexed about his behaviour. Why can’t he speak without openly trying to force someone? “It seems yo

Suban was a panting mess by the time he reached the Wizard’s cave. He ran into the cave like he was expecting some kind of welcome. “I did what you asked, now give it back,” he demanded as his chest rose and fell trying to stabilize his breathing. The wizard snickered in a low tone as he watched Suban from the shadows. He had simply played a joke when he saw Suban wasn’t taking him seriously. Who knew he would actually make him feel so panicked. He looked at the amulet in his hand. He had picked it up after Suban left at that time and decided to keep it as a way to connect to him. These past moons, he was able to freely enter Suban’s dreams and torment him; making him particularly restless and paranoid. “Leave, you won’t gain anything by coming here and making so much noise.” The wizard informed nonchalantly as he enjoyed the look of torment on Suban’s face. Suban tightened his hand into a fist as he gritted his teeth against each other. “Show yourself,” he bellowed as his eye

  • Lycanthrope; Dimitri's Vengeance   Chapter 85 The Demon's Lair

The damp realization on the faces of Luna Carmen and Alpha Ronnie were unmatched as they walked into the cave. Their eyes roamed around it as they noticed the obvious changes. Unlike the edgy surfaces they had known the cave to have, it had stones that were finely curved and positioned in different corners. Even the aura was different. “I think this is their lair,” Krisen dropped as his narrowed eyes stuck on a stone seat fixated exactly in the middle of the cave, and a few meters in front of it was the deep hole that had been created when the seal broke. It was obvious that the seat was going to be for their leader. Luna Carmen closed her eyes as she took in a series of breaths to calm herself down and actually let their present reality sink in. “This is all your doing! Tell me.... did the demon drag you here again?” Alpha Ronnie barked out fiercely as his glared at Dimitri; his face was red and his eyes were dangerously flickering. Dimitri stood still; staring at the grou
