Yes, he says, such a sensible answer, his marrying his daughter off to an unknown figure, oops my bad, a so-called rich man, and all he has to say its yes! Amazing, so, in other words, my marriage is the outcome of a deal? Right? Because I think an individual should have the right to choose their partner moreover aren't I still young for marriage?

"Listen, dad! You know how much I love you and that all this time, mattered not what you asked of me, I had always listened to all of your requests, but this is about my life! Dad, I'm sorry but this time I'm not doing what you demand! I don't want marriage so early in my life!"

I stand up with fury, wanting to exterminate the quiet man in front of me.

Furiously I make my way to the door and slam it with all my strength as I walk out.

"(sighs) I'm sorry, I didn't expect Y/N to react like that. I mean she had always been such a good girl, so I thought she will understand..."

"It's ok Mr Raven don't worry, I understand what you mean, so should we continue with the discussion we were having before your daughter came in?"

MEANWHILE-OUTSIDE THE BUILDING

I certainly didn't expect such an event to befall when I walked in, I mean I should have known that something was off. Why would dad tell me to attend his meeting anyways?

FLASHBACK-20 MINUTES AGO

After I say sorry the man nonchalantly moves away.

I look forward and see dad sitting on a chair with his legs crossed, he sure looks like a man of importance when his working.

"Mr Raven looks like your daughter finally decided to show up."

I look at the young man with a disturbed face, due to his rude tone addressed upon me only to quickly look away when our eyes coincide towards my dad as he realizes I was here.

"Oh, Y/N."

His face lightens up after seeing me as he gestures me to sit next to him.

Few minutes went by as they continued conversing about some deal that I had no idea of.

Why am I even here? Seriously, I don't know!

"Ok so, Y/N honey, there's a favour you have to do for daddy...will you do it?"

I nod as I feel his face becoming serious all of a sudden.

"Lovely. So this gentleman in front of us is a very talented, successful, businessman, he inherited his dad's company at a very young age and now his so famous and capable that not even I can compete with him."

I nod as I feel the tension building up in my muscles. You could say it was my intuition telling me that something immoral was about to happen.

"Ok so...this is not just for business, it's also for your own good. I think that he can make your life better, make you happier and adore you like me, I think he's the ideal man for you!"

"Ok...?"

I knew where the conversation was heading but didn't want to affirm it.

"What I mean is that I will like for the two of you to get married after your 18th birthday."

END OF FLASHBACK

I was heading towards the parking area when I felt a hand settle on my shoulder...

"I told you I'm not going to listen this time! Stop forcing me, dad! I had enough!"

I turn around shouting...

...I thought dad followed me but surprisingly it was a tall, slender guy smiling awkwardly at me.

"Umm, I'm sorry...I didn't mean to shout at you, I mistook you for someone else!"

"Oh no, sorry It's my fault, I shouldn't have approached you like that but you didn't hear me call out to you so I had no other option!"

"Hm? No, it's ok, it was my fault for shouting at you."

He suddenly hands me a phone that looks like mine...

"Well I was at the counter, waiting for my brother to come when I saw you rushing out of the building, and I guess you didn't realize but your phone slipped out of your purse. So I just thought you might be troubled if you lost it and returned it to you."

"Oh, haha, you really saved me, umm thanks."

I walk away after saying the last sentence, without giving him a chance to reply.

Like hell, I will wait there and make myself feel more embarrassed than I already was!

Lord, today, really is a bad day!

First I meet that eerie stranger, then the marriage and now a random guy that saw me doing something so stupid!
