Daisy's POV

I stood still at the doorstep when I heard my name. I was sure it was mom Megan. She was probably chatting with Steve in the sitting room. 

“And she gave me a...” Steve trailed off. 

Despite the fact that I was in the house, I could still see what they were doing. I saw Steve raise his hand to show mom the supposed ring I gave to him.

But he looked surprised and shocked to see no ring on his finger. 

A frown found its way to my face. I was pissed off and extremely annoyed about the fact that he couldn't even keep the ring for twenty four hours. 

“What did she give to you?” mom Megan asked, sitting up from the couch when she noticed the perplexed look on Steve's face.

  “A ring and it’s gone.” he shrilled, palming his face.
