Melanie’s POV

“Stab yourself.”She smirked.

“Wh- what?” I stuttered in disbelief. 

“That’s the only way.” She shrugged. “You have to spill blood.”

I scoffed. 

“Are you kidding me right now?” 

“No,” she smiled. “Are you ready to cross that boundary?” 

“Why in the world would she need to stab herself?” Steve frowned.

“That’s the only thing that can stop this. You need no further explanation. Are you willing to do it to save your people?” she stared intently at me. “Both the humans and the supernatural.”

I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair. I definitely didn’t expect this. To save everyone completely, I’d make the sacrifice.

I heard loud screams which made me turn abruptly. I watched wide-eyed as buildings came crashing down. People began to run out of their houses.
