Recap
"Okay. Your turn." She said and I chuckled.
"Okay, hit me." I told her and she feigned a thoughtful face for a moment. Suddenly she dropped a bomb on me.
"Tell me about you and Jackson's history." She deadpan, leaving me awestruck.

I was so dumbfounded by Makaila's question and I blamed myself for not thinking she would ask that question. Makaila was smart, very smart actually. Makaila's POV"Holy shit!" Rita exclaimed as soon as I told her about the kiss. Knowing Rita she would probably scream it out of the whole school to hear so I quickly palmed her mouth to muffle her scream of excitement. "Keep your voice down Rita. Christian's POV"How the hell did he know that Makaila stays in your house?!" Nigel snapped as soon as I told him what went down with Jackson. Christian's POVI haven't been the same since Makaila left. I've tried reaching across to her, at least to talk to her and explain myself but she avoided me like I was a plague. It was frustrating. The worst part of it all was that Bethany had succeeded in latching herself on to me like a leech and I had no way of telling her off. Makaila's POVI couldn't stop thinking about the little moment Christian and I had at Nigel's house, in my room. I still couldn't believe that Christian had confessed that he was in love with me, after everything that happened between us. After that day, I became even more confused and I didn't know what to make of the entire situation.I barely saw him at school. Christian's POV"Makaila, are you okay?" I immediately moving closer to her. "Come back here you slut!" I heard a familiar voice call from behind her. She shook her head and ran off, brushing past me. Before I could say anything to stop her, I saw Tyler, James and two other guys on the team running towards me. My eyes met theirs, especially Tyler whose lips spread in a sardonic smirk when he saw me. I saw that Tyler had a black eye and I needed no soothsayer to tell me he had done something. I felt my blood boil. "What did you do to her?" I asked him, my voice raspy. "Nothing."He shrugged nonchalantly. "We just wanted to have a little fun with her. Makaila's POV"Seems like you and Christian are getting better." Rita said, leaning against the locker beside mine, watching me as I fixed my things into my locker. I sighed and shrugged. "Well, it's more like we are taking things slow. He's still with Bethany." I told her and she scoffed. "It's just a matter of time before they break up. Nigel found some sort of dirt on Bethany." Rita revealed and I stopped what I was doing to look at her, my eyebrows raised. "What kind of dirt? Hope y'all didn't create some sort of dirt just to get Christian and I together because that will just be plain low." I folded my hand across my chest and looked at Rita skeptically. "As much as I would have loved to do that, that's not the case here, Makaila. We found real dirt. Bethany has been cheating on Christian." Rita revealed and I sighed in response, closing my locker.
MAKAILA CHAPTER 29
Makaila's POV Everything went back to normal. Bethany, Tyler and the rest of the Jocks that tormented me stopped taunting me, mostly because coach heard what Tyler wanted to do and had him kicked off the team. Same for Bethany who got kicked off the cheer squad. My life took a whole new turn. Jackson barely showed up in school so I didn't worry about running into him. Of course he wouldn't show up in school after Christian taught him an unforgettable lesson. Christian. That name made me smile over and over again.
