CHAPTER 31

Christian's POV

I raked my fingers through my hair in utter frustration, pacing the length and breath of the living room. The police men and I had just conducted another search for Makaila to no avail. I groaned in anger and I clenched my fist in anger, frustration, sadness and fear.

Nigel and Rita had taken their turn in searching everywhere. Makaila's mum was safe in her hotel room with the police men on guard at every nook and cranny suddenly took my keys, entered my car and zoomed off to my favourite bar. I need something to drink, something, anything to get my mind off this whole situation. I got there and went to the stand.

"One shot." I told the bar tender. He nodded and served me.

I drank it in one gulp and suddenly started to feel light headed. I suddenly felt the urge to cry. Makaila was slipping away through my fingers and I could not do anything about it. I have been expecting a call for ransom or anything but nothing was coming in. I do not want to loose her. I can't loose
