MAYA'S POV

I dodge quickly, but before I even let out a breath, the warrior's punch is already coming from the right side. I turn again to the left at quick speed as my attacker lowers himself and runs toward me for a headbutt, but with all parts of his body.

I'm panicking. I scream. I just dodge everything I can. Then the warrior jumps, lunging for me. I jump, sliding down between his legs. I fall on my back against the field. I'm breathing heavily.

When he turns, ready to pounce again. I scream and I duck out. I struggle. Still lying on the ground, I feel a sudden surge in my body. I glance at my arm and my sigil is glowing. It's weird, because this sigil hasn't responded in forever.

My hands wrap around the warrior's ankle. I don't know what my hands are planning to do, but I'm working with the flow. I twist his ankle when I hear him scream. He screams louder. The move is clumsy but desperate.

His fellow warriors gather around and start chanting in a foreign language. "Hoog

    MAYA'S POV The maids return with a calabash and a wooden cup. They hurry over to Jaden, who is trying to get a hold of himself.     MAYA'S POV "I hope you're ready. The warriors are waiting to train you," the prince asks, already stepping back and holding the door open for me."I know it. I am."
