Selene's POV

A sharp knock startled me out of sleep.

I groaned, rolling over with a frown. It wasn’t even bright outside yet. I was sure it wasn’t even 7 a.m.

Then a voice came through the door. “Selene, open up.”

It was Ella's

Before I could mutter a single word, the door creaked open and she walked in like she owned the place.

I swung out of bed, my hair a mess, and glared at her. “Do you mind? You didn’t even wait for me to say come in!”

Ella hmphed and rolled her eyes. “Stop whining.”

She was holding two long brooms, the kind used for dusting ceilings and high places. Not exactly the best way to start a day.

She shoved one at me. “Take this.”

I caught it with both hands, staring at her like she’d just handed me a spear.

“We have to start cleaning the cobwebs,” she said plainly. “Some of the maids have already started.”

Then she turned and started walking out like a little queen on a mission.

I stared at her back, and for a moment, I truly felt like strangling her.

She was so cunn

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   NOT YOURS TO CHOOSE

Killian’s POV "Worry not elders, the Alpha has chosen me as his mate." Lovena’s voice rang through the council room like a cracked bell, loud, shameless, and utterly delusional. The Elders glanced at one another, expressions shifting between surprise and satisfaction, as though she had just spoken the prophecy they'd been waiting for. I turned to her slowly, the urge to laugh replaced by a dangerous silence. Was she insane? She took my silence as permission to continue. “We all know,” she began confidently, “that my father was Lord Wolfe's father's Beta. Both our parents wanted us to get married. They wanted me to be Luna. My father taught me everything about pack politics, the inner workings of the court, and how to serve and lead.” Her eyes gleamed as rose up from her seat like a politician selling lies. “If not for my illness, we would have been mated by now. But I’m back and I’m here to take full responsibility,” she finished with a bright, triumphant smile. The s

Selene’s POV“Do you have a mate ?” He asked, and my heart stopped beating. That single question echoed in my head like a haunting whisper I couldn't escape.I stared at Kelvin, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. Why would he ask me that?I felt Carmen's words creeping back into my head like vines, wrapping tight around my mind.‘He’s a player.’‘He’s dangerous, Selene.’‘You’re his next target.’Could she be right?I swallowed hard, trying not to let the uneasiness on my face show. “Why are you asking me that?” I shot back, keeping my voice guarded.Kelvin chuckled lightly, tilting his head to the side. “Is it wrong to ask? You’re a beautiful girl. I’m just curious.” I should’ve felt flattered. Maybe a few minutes ago, I would’ve even blushed. But now… it felt like a trap.I glanced away from him, pretending to admire the sky. “You don’t strike me as the type who’s just... curious.”Kelvin leaned against the wall beside me, his arms folded. “Then what type do I strike you

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   THE PRICE FOR PEACE

Lucas POVThe Cursed Land hadn't changed. It was still the same place that smelled like rusted metal and scorched earth, where trust was dead and loyalty burned out faster than kindling. I walked past what used to be Rufus's watch post, the spot where he'd drink, spit, and threaten anyone who tried to get too close. It was abandoned now with no guards, no firewood, no Rufus. These people had started a rebellion and I needed to take care of things. I needed to make sure the blame wasn't on me and I can continue to be their leader.Just a little deceit would do the trick. The air shifted as I entered the broken courtyard. Figures emerged from the shadows, rough men with scarred faces, cloaked women with blades on their hips. These weren’t wolves who bowed. These were rogues!A crowd was already forming. They already heard I was back."Lucas," one growled. A tall man with a crooked nose and thick arms crossed over his chest. His name was Gael, I remembered. One of the loudest mouths in

Killian’s POV“My Lord.”Ronan’s voice came through the half-open door, his tone laced with restraint and urgency.I didn’t look up from the scroll I was reviewing. “What is it?”“The Elders are at the Inner Court,” he said. “They demand to see the Alpha. They want a meeting.”I frowned. “Right now? They didn’t inform us of any scheduled meeting.”“They didn’t,” Ronan answered. “They suddenly showed up. And... they look furious.”“Furious,” I muttered, rising to my feet with a bitter scoff. “They have no right to order me around like some adolescent pup.”Ronan bowed slightly. “I think... we should just attend the meeting, My Lord. It might be better than ignoring them.”Before I could reply, soft fingers laced through mine.“Yes, Alpha,” Lovena’s voice purred from the corner of the room. “We should attend the meeting.”I turned my head slowly to look at her. “We?”She smiled innocently. “Of course. You know I’m good with pack matters. My father was your father’s Beta, after all. Thi

  • MARKED BY THE ALPHA'S CURSE   HISTORY

Killian's POV"Alpha Dominic and Beta Luca" I called out. "How many wolves have you lost?""Two hundred" Beta Luca replied.I smirked. "We lost five hundred men. The remaining two hundred are injured.""What?!" Alpha Dominic gasped in shock.I nodded gently. "Now, you see why I find your request funny. The enemies definitely had a grudge on us so the attack was lethal. Yours was just meant to stop your pack from rendering mine any help. Do you understand?""But....""But what, Beta Luca?" I cut him off. "This isn't a child's play.""I know, but you can still help us" Alpha Dominic insisted. "We only need the witch.""The same one you judged me for keeping or which one?" I asked, my voice full of sarcasm. "Let's not argue, you two. Go back to your pack and focus on protecting your subjects. I'll do the same for mine too."Silence reigned for a moment as the two men maintained eye contact with each other. Obviously, they were having a telepathic conversation."Are we done here?" I quest
