Carmen's POV

"I thought you had your own ways to defend yourself" I let out a deep scowl, sounding displeased. But deep down, I badly needed her help.

Putting her life at risk wasn't an option, but I had no other choice.

Vitalis Revixio

It was a healing spell created by the same witch who made the portion plaguing the land. It was meant to stop the poison, but the cost for casting the spell was great. To make matters worse, I was trained by a wizard which made the spell casting more complicated.

Well, it was the only way.

I took a deep breath as I made up my mind to do the needful without hesitating.

"You'll be fine, Selene" I declared, ignoring the feeling of doubt rising in my heart. Our safety and the future of The Shadowfang Pack was in our hands.

I took several steps backward, and added. "Take this as a test. This might be a sign."

I threw a hard glare at the enemy, before casting a shield spell on myself.
