CHAPTER 37

            Bright lights shone against his eyes immediately he tried to open them, his hands could only block off so much of the blinding light that made him squint, and it took a few more seconds before they adjusted to it. But even though his eyes were open now, he still rubbed at them, doubtful of what stood before him.

            It looked like the center of a forest, there were tall trees all around, and he could hear the sounds of multiple birds flapping their wings high above the trees, at first he thought his mind played tricks on him, but the more he looked, the more real they appeared.

            The last thing Sunday remembered before he blacked out was the explosion, Paul lying unconscious in front of him, and a pair of boots, then a stretcher, then  it all went dark.
