Kidnapped

Aliyah's POV

My heart raced. My mind throbbed. My head pounded. I stood apprehended not knowing the exact emotions to process. Fear? Anger? I wasn't certain of the particular one to settle for. So, I paced from one end of the house to the other, running my hands through my dishevelled hair. I stopped abruptly and turned around immediately the front door creaked open with Kelan running towards me.

"Hey honey," he rushed towards me and held me in a tight embrace.

"Are you okay?" he asked with a tone of concern.

"K... Kelan..." I called in a teary voice.

"Baby," he responded, running his fingers through my hair.

"Talk to me. How did it happen?" he released me from the embrace and cupped my cheeks in his palms.

"Our boys... They... Our boys..." I trailed off, welling up in tears.

"Honey, put yourself together and tell me all about it," he dried my tears with his eyes.

I sniffed then blew my nose noisily into a tissue.
