Now, I couldn't escape this place because there was no way I was going to beg those two for anything.

"What a poor girl," Carey said.

"Don't pity her, she's nothing but an arrogant gold digger. She's all here for money and yet she's acting so bossy," Jason's mother said with disgust.

Carey looked at Jason's mother with a sad look." I know she's rude though, but I can’t help pity her. Maybe I should talk to him.”

I knew Carey made that statement just to look good in front of Jason's mother and it worked. Jason's mother looked at her and patted her head gently.

"You are too innocent. People like her shouldn't be pitied, though. Let her beg and we might at least be able to give her food," she said.
