CHAPTER 10. FRIENDS TO FOE.

Jessica's' POV

I kept on trying my husband's phone number, but he wasn't picking his calls. I was beginning to get worried because he's never stayed this late without returning home.

“I'm sorry for keeping you worried. I just had a busy schedule at work today” that was his response as soon as the home.

Furthermore, I noticed he wasn't looking like his normal self, he wouldn't even look at me.

“What's wrong, baby?” I questioned softly. He stared at me for a long time like he was trying to think, then he fell back on the bed staring blankly at the ceiling.

“You remember this morning when you caught me staring at my phone, and you asked me what's wrong?” I nodded curiously.

“It was about Aria. She was involved in a ghastly car accident, and she's been hospitalized for days now…" My face beamed with a smirk.

Now, things were falling in place, and everything was working in my favor. This is a sign that Chris and I belonged together. Hopefully, she doesn't make it alive. Why couldn't sh
