Chapter Eighteen

Chad's Apartment

Camille huffed as she stumbled along the corridor with Chad leaning heavily on her. She struggled along and breathed a sigh of relief when she finally found Chad's apartment. She stopped in front of the door and propped Chad up against the wall while she searched his pockets for his key.

She finally found the key and inserted it into the lock, opening the door. She struggled and helped Chad inside. She struggled with him into the living room before finally dropping him on the sofa. As soon as she dropped Chad on the sofa she heaved a deep breath. She stretched herself and let out a deep breath.

She glanced at Chad who was sprawled out on the couch. He was drunk and muttering something inaudibly. Camille watched him for some minutes and the words that he had said earlier at Charlie's place, replayed in her mind,

"She's very good. She's the best thing that happened to me", Chad had said.
