Chapter 91

Hilary had a long day at work, and driving home was the last thing she wanted to do. She was exhausted and tired of dealing with the incessant work demands. As she drove home, her thoughts wandered to Daryl, her boyfriend of two years.

Lately, things haven't been smooth between them. Daryl's work schedule was unpredictable, leaving little time for them to spend together.

To make matters worse, there was the occasional argument they had regarding his previous relationships. Hilary felt that Daryl was holding something back regarding his past relationships.

Finally, she arrived at their apartment block and drove to the parking lot. She got out of the car and walked towards the entrance, slowly taking deep breaths to calm her nerves. She felt a sudden burst of anger, which she couldn't explain. Entering their apartment, Hilary tried to relax by taking off her shoes and coat. She walked into the living room to find Daryl sitting on the couch, scrolling through his phone.
