CHAPTER 1: SELLOUT DISCIPLINARIAN.

~ALLISON

"Miss Allison Westwood," Mister Jacob muttered, peering up from the stack of papers in his hands, his brows sternly creased as he continued, "Your records contradict your claims. There have been complaints from some students about your abusive behavior."

"With all due respect, sir, those complaints are not true. I'm the victim here!" I calmly retorted, though inside, I was seething with anger.

He glared at my response. "Then can you explain what you did to Mister Landon Smith?" he asked, shifting my attention to the jerk face sitting across from me.

He had an ice pack on his swollen nose—If looks could kill, I'd be six feet under from the way he was staring at me. Like he could pounce on me any second and rip me into pieces.

Unfortunately, he can't rip my head off in here. Well, maybe he could but definitely not in the presence of the disciplinarian. However, before he dares make such an attempt, I did make sure to fuck up more of his features.

I'm not a bully, unlike what my records claim. I'm just a girl who stands up for herself when some people won't stop being a pain on my arse. And this jerk across from me is the biggest pain of all.

Rolling my eyes at him, I returned my gaze to Mister Jacob. “That's because he keeps harassing me. I had to do something.”

His brows creased harder. “Miss Westwood, that doesn't justify you getting physical with him. My door is always open for complaints.”

“I've complained several times, but you never do anything,” I said, adding under my breath, “Not like you want to.”

It seemed like he heard my last words because his expression suddenly turned darker. But I refused to be intimidated. As long as I spoke the truth, I will never be scared of that look.

It's obvious he's playing favorites. Everyone knows he bends the rules to protect this jerk's ass

and never acknowledges any complaints against him just because his dad is an important figure in the school—The head sponsor of the school outreach charity program to be precise. But damn that, it doesn't give him the right to step on me because I am obviously not one of his father's charity cases.

“Miss Westwood, I suggest you speak politely to me because I won't hesitate to give you a hard time in this school. Don't test me," he warned sternly.

“I'm sorry, Mister Jacob,” I said out of courtesy, barely holding myself from rolling my eyes at him

After a moment of intense glaring at me, he finally cut me the slack. Adopting a more professional tone, he demanded, “Apologize to Mister Landon.”

Reluctance pinched my brows. “How about you warn him to stop harassing me first—"

“Don't tell me how to do my job, Allison!" He thumped the desk, rising to his feet. I flinched.

“Do it now!” He sneered.

Mister Jacob's attitude wasn't surprising; I expected it. Returning my gaze to him, I took a deep breath to calm the rage in my chest, then forced out a smile.

“I'm sorry, Landon," I said, my tone clearly revealing my insincerity. It was up to him to accept it or not.

Silence hung in the air as Mister Jacob and I waited for his response. He just sat there, staring at me without blinking. I kept returning his glare until my gaze shifted to his nose.

Laughter piled up in my throat threatening to escape my mouth at the sight of his swollen nose. I bit hard on my lower lip fighting back the urge to release a laugh as I made out his resemblance to one of my ugly drawings in my elementary days.

Damn! I'd ruin his face. Good for him. Feeling satisfied with my action, I sneaked out a wry smile.

As Landon remained silent, Mister Jacob attempted to break the silence. “I'm sincerely sorry—” he started, but his words trailed off as Landon abruptly stood up and stormed out, slamming the door shut behind him.

Wow, so walking out on the school disciplinarian and almost damaging the door is a display of politeness? I wanted to ask Mister Jacob, but his stern look made me think better of it.

Returning to his seat, he issued his final warning. “This is your last warning, Miss Westwood. Expect expulsion from the school management if this happens again.”

“Of course, it won't repeat itself if you take the necessary steps to stop him from bullying me,” I angrily scoffed. He didn't say a word as I picked up my stuff and walked out.

With my anger still simmering, I marched down the noisy corridor toward my locker, muttering curses under my breath.

Stopping in front of my locker, I swung it open only to find a pile of trash inside. I shook my head, not surprised by the mess.

It's clearly the work of Kate's cronies. Speaking of the devils, they were across the hall, staring at me. Kate was in the middle, popping her gum as usual.

Their smug smiles fueled my anger, but I resisted the urge to react. Acting on my anger now would only cause trouble because I knew if I confronted them, one of them would end up with a broken femur. I couldn't afford to get caught up in that mess especially now that my education was hanging on a thread.

I looked away, took a deep breath, and muttered to myself, “Stay calm, Allison. They're just temptations and will pass”.

They literally did pass away— they walked past me without causing any trouble, not even a bump on my shoulder, it was all too strange.

Feeling confused, I furrowed my brows as I watched them go. It was out of character for them to let me off so easily whenever I'd turn a blind eye to their trouble.

Shrugging off the thought, I turned back to my locker, but I was startled by a tall shadow standing inches away from me.

He quickly pulled me into his arms and covered my mouth, preventing me from screaming. Panic surged within me as my mind immediately reeled to the dreadful thought I feared to imagine.

“Take a deep breath,”. The voice whispered into my ear. Recognizing it instantly, I automatically began to calm down. It was Jason, my boyfriend.

Once calmed, I pushed away from him, shooting him a glare. “You scared me!”

“Really?” he chuckled, leaning against the locker.

“Of course! I almost mistook you for one of those delinquents around. Don't you dare sneak up on me like that again or I might kick you hard on the balls”. I warned and he chuckled even more.

“I'm sorry. I thought you knew I was behind you.”

“No, I didn't,” I replied, shaking my head. Giving his words a fleeting thought, I realized that Kate and her lackeys didn't approach me because Jason was nearby. I never knew they were that scared of him.

I understand their fear, considering Jason's imposing physique. I would have been scared too if he wasn't my boyfriend. But around me, he's just cute and harmless.

“So where have you been? I've been looking for you everywhere,” he asked, looking serious.

I bit my lip, holding back the truth as I replied, “Um, I've been in the cafeteria.”

He looked down at me grimly, crossing his arms. It was a gesture he always did when my words didn't convince him enough. “I searched the cafeteria several times. You weren't there,” he stated matter-of-factly.

“I was. Maybe you missed me,” I said, returning my attention to my locker, trying to avoid the conversation. As I grabbed my textbooks, a piece of the trash fell out of my locker, catching his eye.

Before I could attempt to hide it, he demanded. "Why on earth is there waste in your locker?"

As if knowing I was gonna deny it, he flung my locker wide open and spotted the heap of trash. He shot me a deep frown, more akin to a glare.

"Is someone bullying you?”
