George's POV

I beat myself. And I couldn't stop blaming myself as I stood in front of the bed where she lay.

She looked innocent, her eyes closed, calm and still. Only her chest was heaving up and down. She was asleep. The little girl was quiet.

She would, once in a while, go to Kyra and place her tiny finger under her nose to confirm if she was still breathing. It was a beautiful sight. Yet, I felt bitter.

I spent almost every year of my life waiting and looking for my mate. But she was with another man, bearing a child with him.

I don't even know if that was the least problem in my mind right now, because I have just been told that my mate may no longer be able to carry a child because of the cold torture we had given her the first time she was captured.

Of course, I knew that was it. It had to be it.

Those idiots had come to inform me that the wolfbanes were empty. I was shocked how it was empty in a short period of time, only for them to explain that they had used it all of

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 106: Promise.

Kyra's POV I knew George couldn't get rid of Diana just like that, but seeing the two of them together was still enough to have me riled up.“You might not have any worries concerning your reputation, but mine is bad to begin with, so I have a lot to consider.” I added, looking him straight in the eye as though telling him that, 'I'm angry, what can you do about it?'George shook his head. “I just remembered that I had something to ask Miss Kyra about.” I arched my brows before shifting my gaze to Diana, who was already fuming behind him. Annoyed, I jerked my hand from his hold and gave him a cold reply, “It will be better if the Alpha keeps the company of his Luna first; I don't want to be considered a third party.”At the mention of the term Luna, there was a hint of edge in my voice that I was certain George didn't miss.“That can wait; I need to see you, and it's urgent.” He said again. The fact that he didn't deny that she's his Luna made my blood boil. But before I could fo

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 105: Decisions.

Kyra's POV The hall fell into a strange silence, and the Elders exchanged glances. On the other hand, Diana smiled softly, tucking a stray strand of her hair to the back of her ear, displaying a shy demeanor. I clenched my fists, suddenly becoming annoyed. I could guess the reason the Great Elder decided to bring up this matter in such a setting. He wanted to make George unable to refuse and would give him a reasonable reply. As it is now, George will have to give him face. It seems George can no longer avoid this matter anymore. For no reason, I became nervous. I wanted George to refuse him, but I was afraid it would affect him, and he would completely fall out with Elder Marcellus. At the same time, I would rather not be his in secret. Now, there's no room for rejection between us after what happened a few hours ago, and I didn't want to be labeled a mistress or a third party. ‘Alice, try speaking to Laine.’ I said inwardly, and Alice hummed in agreement. But, after a few sec

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 104: Great Elder.

Kyra's POV All the Elders in the room lowered their heads in a small bow towards the middle-aged man, who looked quite too young to be a grandfather. If I didn't know, I would really think that he's Diana's father instead of her grandfather. The man had short black hair, neatly brushed to the back to highlight his sharp and clear black eyes. When those eyes fell on Diana, they softened slightly. After that, no other person in the hall dared to meet his eyes as they averted their gaze awkwardly. “Welcome, Elder Marcellus. I heard your training in seclusion had been successful.” A lean Elder walked forward with a fawning smile. Elder Marcellus' expression remained neutral, and he merely gave a noncommittal nod. However, the Elder didn't find anything wrong with it, and his smile even widened as though getting such a reply from the Great Elder was already an honor.I snorted inwardly, and even Lena scoffed. 'A mere dog.'But he was not the only one; a few other Elders also greeted

Kyra's POV “So? Want to question the Alpha himself?” Felix merely asked with a devious smile plastered across his face like a mask.I knew what Elder Marcus was trying to do, and my impression of him worsened even more.He might not know that Harley was a spy sent from the Dark Wolf clan, but their family needs to be dealt with as well.Another thing that bothers me is the fact that Cecil does not seem to know that Harley was from the same clan as he is, and he does not seem to be pretending. He really does not know, but how could that be possible? How could they be in the same clan and not know each other?Elder Marcus stared at Felix for a few seconds before he huffed, averting his gaze. Felix turned to me, “Let's leave; the others are waiting in the meeting hall together with the Alpha.”I nodded, and we quickly followed Felix through a separate tunnel that led towards the pack mansion. Nobody spoke, but I could feel a murderous glare sticking to the back of my head, as if to bo

Kyra's POVCecil clenched his fists, his fiery gaze fixed on the fifth Elder, who was trembling, and would have staggered back if Bella had not supported her quickly. “Just shut up if you don't know what to say; a rat will always be a rat, even if it is crowned. A traitor like you does not deserve to be my mother's son at all.” Bella barked angrily, and Cecil snorted.“After I'm done with everybody here, I will make sure a slut like you beg for death and show her that a female child can never compare to a male child, not to talk of a talent like me.” I frowned before saying, “Cecil, do not make a decision you will regret your whole life. You can still change your mind now, and it will not affect your life in the pack. I can make the Alpha give you a second chance.” Yet, Cecil only gave a cunning smile.“A second chance? If someone like you is willing to join our clan, then I am willing to give you a second chance. Let me tell you, in the Dark Wolf clan, my status is only below that

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 101: Traitor.

Kyra's POV I stood at the entrance of the chamber and was finally able to see the scene in the room through a small hole on the bronze door.Elder stood at the center of the chamber, in front of a few warriors, and Diana stood calmly beside him, with Harley behind her as well.Around them and in front of them, more than a dozen warriors were gathered, looking tense. Especially my students, who kept giving Diana a dissatisfied look.Seeing that all my students were gathered, I could finally heave a sigh of relief. Not just them, but the likes of Elijah and Finn, who had become friends, were also present.“You will follow me.” Elder Marcus began, his voice low with authority. “The Alpha's mansion is no longer safe, and as you all know, our family's estate lies deep in the pack, a place these people can't know to venture to. Not to talk about the fact that it is safe from prying eyes, it is also incredibly safe. It's not a place where just anybody can enter.”My students, Uma replied co
