George's POV

It's one thing knowing you have a mate, it's another knowing that your mate is just a few rooms away. But it's worse knowing that she's married to someone else with a kid.

Last night was one of the most horrible nights I have had since forever. Laine wasn't satisfied with the news about Kyra mating with someone else.

I was tempted to go check on her so many times last night. Finally, my eyes closed, only for a loud knock to wake me up.

“Good morning, my handsome Alpha,”

Diana walked into the room, dressed in a green gown, her hair tied in a ponytail. I brushed my eyes as I asked, yearning,

“What is it?”

She went over to the window and pushed the curtain open, the bright light almost blinded my eyes. I turned my face away, hissing harshly.

“Diana,” I almost growled.

“You promised we would go see our guests today. Why aren't you dressed?”

My mouth almost widened in shock. What? That was why she woke me up so early?

“Diana, I don't understand. Did you wake me up be

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 34: Seeing him again.

Kyra's POV A fawning smile spread across his face as soon as I spoke; a hint of awkwardness flashed in his eyes, but he still said, “I never expected to see you so soon, Miss.”I folded my arms in front of my chest and snickered, “More like you never expect to see me ever again. You've been avoiding me, right?”Hearing that, his pupils dilated, and he quickly shook his head, denying vigorously, “How can that be? I have always been here, waiting for whatever order you might have for me.”His friends were different from the ones I taught a lesson to earlier. Their gazes darted between Maximus and me, and one of them even jabbed his shoulder.“What is wrong with you? You are acting strange.” After saying that, he turned to me and said, “Aren't you the guest the Alpha allowed to stay? Or, should I say, the spy that became the guest?”Alright, everyone in the pack knows already. But that's fine. It does nothing to affect me.Before I could reply, Maximus quickly turned to them and whisper

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 33: Making Findings

Kyra's POVI watched as Diana and George left without much expression on my face, but I no longer had the mood to sleep anymore. “Seriously, don't they have better things to do than to visit their guests?” I mumbled speechlessly before heaving a resigned sigh. That was when I heard Alice say, 'Could it be that he's just so eager to see us?'I rolled my eyes at her and replied inwardly, 'You are delusional. Didn't you realize how he treated us? I'm sure he doesn't even know we are mates. Even if he does, it doesn't change anything, as he has a woman already.'Alice instantly fell silent, and I knew that I must have been too blunt. Actually, I had a mixture of feelings towards Alpha George. A storm would churn within me whenever I recalled the fact that we were mates - anger, grief, longing, and annoyance. All these I've tried my best to suppress in his presence, careful not to give anything away. When Alice and I laid eyes on him, I couldn't ignore the longing that clashed with my

  • MATED TO MY NEMESIS    Chapter 31: A Luna

Kyra's POV The foolish Maximus had the courage to attack me even after the warning. Alice didn't let me have the show, she was too pissed that I half morphed. My claws slashed his jaws open.“Ahhh!” He screamed. “Fuck!” The guards cursed and came rushing for a fight. “You are so dead!” They spat. “I warned you,” I smirked. Positioning myself for a fight, I went all out. But I shouldn't have. I was disappointed because I was done with all five men in less than five minutes. I dust an invisible dust off my palms, watching them wince on the ground. I made sure to break some of their bones while Alice graced two of them with her gorgeous signature on their jaws. “I warned you. You didn't listen.” I squatted down and asked again,“Now, can one of you take me to my chamber?” They nodded and pointed at Maximus, whose hands were still not left his jaw. I smiled sweetly at him when I saw the scared look in his eyes. “You know, it's better to be feared than disrespected. Don't you think?” I

Kyra's POV I found my way back to the pack house after moments of roaming around the woods. Aside from the distraction that stopped me in my tracks, I had also been distracted by the beautiful view of a lake inside the forest. Alice had called it a healing lake, so I jumped into it, only for her to mutter that she was only joking. How upsetting. I stepped into the large pack house in some big clothes I had seen in a line. I didn't know who owned it, but anything was better than walking around naked. I passed through the corridor, which I was so sure we had passed through when we came. Unfortunately, the place was unfamiliar. “Alice, I think we're lost.” “You're lost. Not me,” she replied with a smug. I rolled my eyes as I took another curve. I took so many turns only to end up completely lost. I facepalmed myself and decided to ask someone. I walked over to a group of guards who were chatting. “Please, I'm searching for my chamber?” They turned to me, I noticed how their

Roan's POV “Me?” The guard blinked, looking back and forth. “Of course, you,” I snort. “He will go in as a rogue and will find a way to kill Kyra silently. He is a warrior; it shouldn't be much of a task if he is disguised.” I explained. While some of the elders were nodding in agreement, Father was staring at me with a displeased look on his face. I raised a brow at him, the left side of my lips tugged up in a smirk. I knew my plan was good, so what was his problem? “Have you forgotten that your crazy ex was the best warrior in the Red Sky pack?” He asked. Again, I snorted, “Who said anything about going to fight with her?” I asked. “Look at this guy?” I turned, pointing to the guard, “Does he look like someone who would be able to defeat Kyra? Even five of him won't be able to.”“Then why are you sending him? How do you expect him to—”I cut Beta Williams, “That is why he is going in disguise. It won't be a day's job, but it will be a successful one. All we need to do is make
