Kyra's POV

I hacked a rogue down with my sword, and his head was severed from the rest of his body. Blood flowed like a fountain, painting me in red and the earth in another color.

However, I kept a part of attention on the leader, who had a solemn expression on his face.

One thing I was sure of is that these rogues were sent by someone close to me, and that person wants me dead. If not dead, then the person wants to kill one of the women, and by doing so, I might have to go through a series of questions back in the pack.

Even Alpha George will not be able to help me.

But who could it be? Who had such audacity to make a deal with rogues?
