It's been a few hours since Scott took the deer's blood and he has started to get better.

“We should be on our way.” He said.

“You are the one stopping us.” I smirked at him.

“What about our truce?” He eyed me.

“Don't push it.” I said to him, rolling my eyes.

“I feel alright, I can't make it before nightfall.” He said, standing up.

“Yes.” I said, surveying the environment for any threats, “getting there before nightfall is better.”

“Let's go.” He said moving away from our position. “We should be careful. In case we encounter any threat.” He said.

“Yeah,” I chuckled, “so we won't get shot with poisonous arrows.” I mocked him.

He gave me a stink eye and I raised my hands up in surrender, “sorry, too soon.”

“You are a jerk.” He said.

“I know it's part of my personality.” I said to him. He just shook his head and went his way.

We got to the park in silence, both of us on our own in our thoughts.
