Wanting to know her

Hayden's POV.

"Troy I need you to dig into that girl's past and get me anything you can get me and also get a lawyer in this pack ready for me tonight at any cost" I said to the pack's guide that is with me.

"I believe I am the right source to learn about her past if that is what you want, I lived close to her family house before I joined the royal force, is there anything you would like to know in particular Master?" Troy asked me.

"That's good. I think you are the perfect man then, why is she being attacked by that lady earlier?" I asked Troy.

"That is Ariana, she was once her in-law before the man in question gave up the ghost and then the man after him also died," Troy said.

"Can you explain better?" I said.

"In the course of my intimacy with her family, she has come across a total of 4 mates, and they all died a few weeks after bonding for some unknown reasons since then the whole pack believed that she is cursed, or she is meant to be attracted to others and end them," Troy said.

"Some also believe that there is a vengeance spirit that is tormenting her because of her family background, her father used to be a soldier, and she is involved in the extinction massacre of the supposed innocent Akuna's family." he continued.

"What do you personally believe?" I asked him.

"Master I am in no place to give my opinion but since you asked I think you should stay away from her … just for your safety," Troy said.

"Okay, thanks. And since you are acquainted with the pack, where can I get a lawyer around here?" I asked.

"I will make arrangements for that, Your Highness."

I don't care what they all say about her, something can still be done, and I believe they all gave her that name probably because they are jealous of her, she is such a beauty to behold. As we made our way to the palace all I could think of was her and how I could make her mine, all I should be thinking about right now was a way to make sure that my pack and this pack attained the best economic position in the famine predicted to happen anytime soon and yet my heart is into another thing, someone I just met today and is already controlling me.

The opulent castle revealed itself before me as the gate opened, I was bestowed with the way I was welcomed, as soon as my carriage rolled into the palace the guards lined on the boost side of the lane saluting us, and there were maidens dancing along the lane, and then I saw my very good friend from a distance; Alpha Brandon with a smile on his face. I cannot help but smile at him. I looked at Troy beside me, "Kindly get the lawyer prepared and let me know when you do, I would like to take care of something with him privately" I said and Toy nodded to that. The carriage came to a stop at the entrance of a gigantic castle, and at the door is Alpha Brandon.

"Welcome my good friend, how have you been?" Alpha Bradon asked me as he hugged me.

"Have been good, I don't regret it, something interesting occurred on my way here" I replied.

"Care to share?" Alpha Bradon asked.

"Trust me you don't want to know yet but as a surprise later you will" I replied and then we walked into the castle to have a friendly discussion.

LATER THAT EVENING.

There was a knock on the door as I was in the room taking a rest in the room given to me by Alpha Bradon, I woke to the sound and decided to check it out, on getting to the door, I met one of the maids there bowing before me.

"How may I be of help to you?" I asked the maid.

"A royal guard on duty would like to see you for what he termed an important assignment," the maid said, still not facing me.

"It's okay... you can face me. And who is that?" I asked the maid.

" His Troy by name, Master," The maid said.

"Oh yeah, where is he?"

"Around the corner as he is not allowed into this chamber"

"Tell him I will be with him shortly and we will get everything sorted out, " I said and the maid bowed and left my sight. I went in and locked the door behind me, I changed into something comfortable and less of an Alpha.

I walked out of the room after getting prepared and headed for the bend where Troy is said to be and on getting there I saw Troy seated on one of the seats and asleep, I smiled and then walked up to him. I hit him with one of my legs and he immediately stood up and saluted me. I can tell from his look that he is tired and needs some rest.

He deserved the rest, he has been with me since daybreak and has been running assignments for me since then. "Would you like to take some day breaks, I can speak with my friend on your behalf" I said to him.

"There is no need for that Master, I am okay with serving you," he said as he genuflected before me.

" Am not discharging you off your duty, but it is okay… What is it that requires my attention?" I asked him.

"I found a capable and reputable lawyer and decided to report that to you"

"Good, thanks. So where is he?"

"He is a few meters away, I left him in a cafe and asked him to wait for me to come for him tonight just in case you want to meet him tonight and get things done tonight"

"That's thoughtful of you, we can go right now and get things done as soon as possible," I said to him.

"I already prepared two other guards to follow us as I know you don't like to call attention to yourself and you might like to keep the meeting a secret," Troy said and I noticed he ;is very proud of himself and the way he is helping me.

I smiled and patted him, "I wish I could make you one of my guards… Who knows, maybe I can speak with my friend about that. That is thoughtful of you and yeah let go with that, shall we" I said.

Troy turned around and started leading the way out of the castle and then we got to the entrance to the palace where four horses and two other men were already waiting for us. I mounted one of the horses and thus the men with me and then we rode to the cafe Troy mentioned. The other two men walked in first and assessed the situation and when they were sure it was safe they let me in and we blended in with the people there.

I asked Troy and his men to sit at another table while I had a conversation with the Lawyer himself.

We talked. After a lot of conversation, the lawyer stood up and bowed before me, and then left. Troy and his men looked at me as if asking if we could take our departure but then I gave them the signal that we were not, we waited for some time and after some minutes the lawyer walked in with what seemed to be a file.

"Master, this is what you asked for '' The lawyer said to me, I looked at him and smiled and then shook hands with him.

"I will get what you asked for ready by tomorrow and you will get it from my good friend here, Troy," I said as I looked at Troy and winked at him.

The lawyer bowed and then took his leave, "Shall we take our leave boys?" I asked and the men came around and we all left the room.

As we mounted our horse I said to Troy, "You know where Lilian lives right?"

"Yes I do Master's," he replied.

"We are going there tonight"
