THIRD PERSON'S POV

For the next one week, several things happened at the same time in different places. Ace was getting impatient. He was itching to get out, and the feeling was made even more urgent because of what Anita said to him. He couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible had happened to Karla. He was deeply frustrated by the fact that he couldn't do anything.

"Son, don't do anything rash." His father warned him.

"There's nothing to do, Dad. Can't you see that?" He growled. "I'm as useless as anything else. I'm like a sitting duck. I've lost all sense of time. I don't know if it's day or night."

"It's afternoon, son." Vaughn tried to give some comic relief, but it fell flat when his son glared at him.

"You've been here for the past three years, Dad. Aren't you tired of just sitting here on your hands?"

"Believe me, son, I fought harder than you did when you first got here, but as the days went by..."

"You gave up because it was easier? You just stopped fighting for y

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR

THIRD PERSON'S POV As Aiden slept, he went into the past, and he remembered the first time he ever laid his eyes on Amaya. It was on a perfect day, one of those days when the weather was to everyone's liking. His father, the Alpha, was having a meeting in the yard. Now, meetings weren't a new thing. He had been going to meetings for as long as he could remember. Being the first son of twins of the Alpha meant that he had been shadowing his father at meetings long before he even understood what those meetings were about. His twin brother, Dorian, got off easy when it came to these meetings because he was being trained to be the head of warriors. Dorian was being groomed to take orders while he was being groomed to give those orders. That morning, his father told him to dress up in his best suit because he was hosting a bunch of men from the pack and other packs. He was 14 then, so it made no difference to him. That hosting was his father's way of entertaining all the men who supporte

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO

THIRD PERSON'S POV Anita would never forget the pain she felt when she was handcuffed to that bed by her own mother in one of her flashbacks. She was in pain from her shattered core, and she was also in pain from the betrayal. For three days straight after her mother told her she had only herself to blame for what Amaya did to her, she was denied food and water like she was a common thief. Life in the Lynn household went on without her. Both her family members and the servants ignored her screams. In the afternoon, the pain would get worse, but they all pretended as if she wasn't screaming her lungs out, the hunger pangs didn't make it any better. The days bled together for her. At some point, she began to believe that she was the only one that could hear her screams, but it was a lie. It was until one day when her mother popped in with a slice of toast and hot tea."My darling, I have only one request for you." She said as she placed the tray down in front of her. At that time, s

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE

THIRD PERSON'S POV Karla sighed in relief as she stormed away, glad that she didn't see the truth of the matter. She still had to figure out how exactly she was going to get away with breaking out. She could worry about that some other time, because right now, she was trying to reconnect with Rayden. Until she was able to pull it off again, that's when she would be convinced that she was not hallucinating that day. That she did talk to Rayden that day. She didn't want to try it in broad daylight, especially now that Anita was back. She could come back anytime. As Anita anticipated, the councilmenhad already come to their senses. They were eager to tell her their mind and also convince the Alpha that she was no good for the pack."Alpha Aiden, can't you see? She's a witch that has put the pack, especially you, under a spell. Otherwise, why do we allow her to come in and out of the pack as she wishes?""I agree with him. Alpha Aiden, you were present when she turned one of your trusted

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER EIGHTY

THIRD PERSON'S POV The Tyana witches watched Anita go with a smirk. For someone with that amount of sheer power in her, she sure was gullible. They didn't even have to try too hard to convince her that they had given her the power she badly craved. Power that wasn't hers.As she was exhausted, it was very easy to put her in deep sleep, and then made her a potion to ease her pain. Combined with the adrenaline they pumped her with, she was a goner. When she woke up mere hours later, she was made to believe that she had been asleep for days."Can I join your coven? It would be a huge boost for you witches if I do." Was the first thing she said when she fully recovered. Not a thank you. Not a thank you for saving me, as she believed. The leader couldn't believe how large her ego was. She had never met a witch that was as cocky as this one in front of them."So?" She raised an indignant brow, as if they were wasting her time. It was unbelievable. She wouldn't have believed it if she wasn

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE

KARLA'S POV My food became constant. I was eating twice a day every day. The ration was small, but it gave me the strength I needed to work on my spells and gather my strength to prepare for the war I was sure would be awaiting once I managed to break out of here. This morning, I had a surprise. When the guards that brought my food left, one of them came back and spoke to me."You're Karla." It was a statement, one that I didn't know how to respond to."Who's asking?" I was not a stranger in this pack, so it could be anyone I had come across in the pack before I left. The fact that he was masked wasn't helping matters."Alpha Ace sent me to you. He wants to know how you're doing.""I'm fine." I told him cautiously. I still couldn't trust this man or his intentions. For all I knew, he could be one of Anita's moles, sent to get into my head. She would stop at nothing. "How is he doing, too?""He's fine. I will relay your message to him." That was all he said, and he was gone. I watched
