However, I was a little worried that we may have been a little late in getting to her. AMBER’S POVThis was the moment that I had been waiting for for a very long time, ever since I found out that the vampires wanted me dead I decided that I wanted to get even. AMBERS POV I tried to shake off the taste of Marcus’s blood from my taste buds and forget it but that seemed close to impossible, I felt like I wanted more of that addictive taste but I also didn’t want to go and hunt for it. Even if I was willing to hunt for it, what kind of a creature would I hunt for without raising suspicions or concerns with Chad. I couldn’t deny that his blood tasted good to me but the last thing I wanted was to find myself killing humans, vampires, and wolves for survival. CHAD’S POV Amber didn’t look very good and although she said that she was just tired and hungry, I was worried that it might have been something a little more than that. She didn’t look hungry but rather looked like she was coming down with some kind of sickness. AMBER’S POV When we arrived home I just wanted to rest and do absolutely nothing. I realized after I took my shower that I was actually very exhausted and I needed to get some rest. I felt extremely lucky that Chad seemed to understand that because he didn’t even try to do anything with me after we got home. CHAD’S POVIt took a lot for Amber to finally fall asleep and I knew that she was very worried about the fact that she had ingested Marcus’ blood. I had never met the bastard but from what Amber told me it seemed that the guy was a piece of work and difficult to deal with. At first, I hadn’t really made a big deal of what she had told me because I just didn’t think that it was possible for her to suddenly develop cravings for blood simply because she had a taste of Marcus’s blood but the more I thought about it the more I saw that as a possibility. It was my job to protect Amber as my mate but I wouldnt even know how to protect her if she turned into a vampire and started tearing the royal city apart. AMBER’S POV I woke up feeling a lot better than I had been feeling the previous day, and I was relieved to see that Chad wasn’t in bed anymore.
