TWO MONTHS LATER

SELENA'S POV

"What happened?" I asked Jaxon.

He's fully recovered now after almost two months of staying in the hospital. He get back his strength and the doctor said that he can go home in two days from now, they still need to check him.

He shook his head, "Someone destroyed my breaks, but I don't know who it is."

"The police said that your car is too far away from the cctv cameras, they can't saw the face of the culprit clearly."

"They'll find him sooner. By the way, did my parents visited me even once while I'm asleep?"

"Hm, we fought that time, after that they didn't visit you again. I'm sorry," I said while staring at my hands. He holds it and rubbed his thumb on it.

"That's fine, I didn't want to see them either," he smiled, but I can see the sadness in his eyes. If I controlled myself that time, maybe he's happy now.

"But they're still your parents..." He shook his head, touched my cheeks, "You're only my family now. Don't think too much about others, just focus on our relationship, okay?"

I nod at him, he hugged me tightly.

"Oops, wrong timing. Abort, abort, abort!"

We laughed at Haru, Jaxon throw a pillow to him. They all entered with flowers and cake, "Britanny, I hope your child didn't get your being overreacting on everything. It's not his birthday." I said, she just rolled her eyes on me.

"You're more oa than me, you almost killed yourself when you hmp—" I immediately covered her mouth, she's so talkative.

"You tried to kill yourself?" Jaxon asked.

"No—"

"Uncle Jaxon! You're awake!" Hershey said and run towards him, the little girl hugged him tight.

"Ahh, your hand taste bad, eww." Britanny wipped her mouth, I smirked at her, "Oh, I forgot to wash my hands when I used the bathroom earlier."

"EWW! YOU'RE SO GROSS!" she hysterically shouted and run to the bathroom. Our companions laughed at her.

"You washed your hands, right?" Wade asked with hesitation. I laughed at him and carry Hershey, "Of course, I am. I'm not like Haxilla."

"What?! I'm washing my hands!" she shouted and throw a pillow to me. Hershey suddenly hugged me tightly while glaring at her mother.

"Mommy! Don't throw pillows to Aunt Selena, I hate you!" Hershey shouted that startled me, this kid.

"Hey, hey, that's bad. Don't say that again to anyone," I said to her, but she's still pouting and glaring at Haxilla. I put her to Jaxon's side, squated to look at her eyes.

"Don't throw a hate to anyone, especially if they're your family. That's bad, Hershey."

"But mommy throw you a pillow! I don't want anyone to hurt you, that's what Uncle Haru and Uncle Jaxon always told me when I'm with them."

Jaxon and Haru cleared their throat at the same time, did they just brainwashed this little girl? They never grow gosh, expert at bed, but still thinking like a ten years old boy.

"Still, you need to say sorry to your mom."

"Mommy..." Hershey called her mom. Her dad is just smiling at her, while Haxilla is staring at her and waiting for her words.

"... I want to eat a cake."

They laughed and I face-palmed, she get that trait to her dad. We're eating and talking about everything, when they got home, I stayed with Jaxon. He's using his laptop to check how's the company is doing while we're here.

I tried to stop him, but he still insisted what he want, so I let him. His forehead is creased all the time while facing his laptop, I think something is not right in the company.

"What's the problem?" I asked.

"Mom get almost one million dollars from the company's money. I should've change the passcode to the bank, but dad doesn't want me to do it. Tsk, it's a huge money."

"One million?! How dare she to do that, she didn't even know how the company works. Let's report this, it's stealing even she's your mother," I said while trying to dial the police station, but he put down my hands and smiled at me.

"That's fine, I'm expecting this situation will come. We're actually starting a new business now, that's why Wade is going at Thailand with his family." He explained that made me confuse more.

"What do you mean you're starting a new business?"

He clicked something to his laptop and show me a business plan presentation, "I already knew that when they got back here, they'll start to take the company little by little. We already talked and planned this beforehand, it's a food company."

"From technology to food? Why foods?"

"I studied culinary before I entered the company. It's just my parents want to put me in that kind of business. I'm also wondering how they start that technology company if they finished lawyer and teacher profession."

That explains why he is good at cooking, I crossed my arms and leaned, "That's odd, anyone can start a business, but starting a technology company without a background about it is hard. Do you have any relatives that has a technology business?"

He shook his head, "As far as I remember, they're both only child, so I don't have Aunts and Uncles by blood. My grandparents are great cooks. Nothing of us relate to technology company."

"But how did you run the company smoothly if none of you has no background about technology business?"

He sighed, "That's why I almost kill myself back then, it's so hard to understand a thing. Coding, wiring, advertising, anything about it are suffocating me, I'm just lucky that Haru's family has a background on business, they helped my family to grow this company."

"So, it's all thanks to Haru," I nodded, he pinched my belly side, "What? I didn't say anything bad."

"I'm the one who worked hard to grow this company, what 'thanks to Haru'?" he asked while his lips are pouted, I want to laugh at his cute reaction, but I stopped myself. It's fun to tease and watch him jealous.

"Yes, but without his help, that company faded long time ago," I said in a straight face, so he will think that I'm serious.

"Then, go back to him." He stood up and throw his laptop. I chuckled and hugged him even he's hiding under the blanket.

"I don't want to."

He get out of his blanket and looked at me, "I miss seeing your face this close."

My eyes widened and immediately stood up, "I'm going to the bathroom."

I run to the bathroom and hold my chest, why did I felt surprised when he said that? I should be used to be that close with him, but why?

"Why did you run away hmm?" he asked while squeezing my shoulders and smelling my neck. Oh gosh, here he goes again.

I faced him, he cornered me with his both arms while holding in the sink, "Nothing, I just want to hmp—"

He captured my lips in no time, he's moving slow until his tongue entered my mouth. I pushed his head closer to me, he lift me to sat in the sink and started to unlock my bra and remove all my clothes.

His lips traveled my whole body as well as his hands. He kissed me again in my lips and looked at my eyes, his eyes are full of love and lust. He caress my cheeks while I'm looking at him like drunk because of his sensation.

"Let's build a family, love," he said, I smiled at him and captured his lips. He went down until he reached my flower, he inserted a thing, when I looked it, it's a vibrator.

I laughed, "What the heck, love."

He smiled and pressed the controller, I hold tight at the sink when it started. It literally made me moan loud, he stopped it and put his tongue inside. He wants me to be crazy this night.

SEVEN MONTHS LATER

I'm walking in the corridor when I heard something on Konrad's office.

"What happened?" I asked as I entered his office, the folders and papers are lying everywhere on the floor. He looked so stressed and angry.

I picked up the papers to know what's happening, "T-the Hanzville decline our proposal...?"

"Mr. Lerion is too much. I know they hate their son now, but they're getting so many lives here. They didn't use their fucking minds."

Without Hanzville funds and signature, we can't give the helper robots at the hospitals and care centers. Those hospitals and care centers asked our company if they can buy the robots as helpers since almost of the nurses and caretakers are slowly felt tired, some of them are already sick.

I run to Jaxon's office, opened the door without a knock. I'm shocked when I saw Jaxon is kneeling down to Maxine, what the hell is he doing?

"Jaxon, stand up. You don't need to do this," I said while trying him to get up. He pushed me, that made me stare at him, what happened to him?

"I'll do whatever you want, just let us help those dying people."

"Jaxon..."

Maxine throws a folder to him, "Sign that, and I'll call Mr. Gabriel to sign your proposal."

Jaxon slowly opened and get the paper inside, he is trembling while reading what the paper says. I hold his hand down and shook my head on him.

"Don't do this, please? Ah!"

"Maxine!"

Maxine pulled my hair and throw me in the sofa, luckily my tummy didn't hit the corner of the sofa, our child is still safe. Jaxon helped me to get up, I hold his arms, "Jaxon, please? We can do a way to resolve this."

He didn't listen to me and picked up the papers. Maxine smirked as Jaxon signed the paper and gave it to her, "Oh, you still have a soft-heart. Alright, I'll call Mr. Gabriel now."

She walked out the office with a big smile on her face. Jaxon sat beside me and leaned his head on my shoulder, he's tired. He holds my hand while playing my ring with his promises, "I think, I couldn't fulfill my promises."

"What do you mean?"

My heart beat raced, he holds my face and turned it to look at him, "Whatever happens, always remember that I love you, okay?"

"What are you saying? What are the papers that you signed earlier? Explain everything to me, Jaxon." I insisted.

"It's a contract that I need to be with her business for ten years—"

"WHAT?! DID YOU EVEN USE YOUR MIND BEFORE YOU SIGNED IT?!"

It hurt me a lot, I know what kind of mindset Maxine has. It's impossible that Maxine will bring him there just because of business, it's always something on it. I sat again and hold my forehead, I felt dizzy, maybe because I'm pregnant and stress is going with it. I should be more careful, but Jaxon didn't even know that I'm pregnant to our first child.

"Selena, think of those people who need our help. We're perfectly fine here while they're dying because we didn't fulfill our promises to them..." How about your promises to me? "... I can't stand seeing them dying because of us." How about me and your child?

I sighed and covered my face with my palm, it is so frustrating. He hugged me tightly, I want to cry, but I can't.

"I promise that Maxine can't have me back. I'll avoid her as much as possible, just trust me, Selena. After this, we will be a happy family again, huh? Just trust me."

What can I do except for trusting you? I can't stand also seeing those people dying, but how about us? Your child wants to see, touch and your care. How can you do that if you're with your ex-girlfriend?

[Why you didn't tell him about your pregnancy? It can stop him from going.] Britanny asked on phone.

"I don't want him to stay here while those people are dying."

[You don't have any plans to tell him?]

"Yes, I don't want him to be distracted."

[So, I can't say this also to Wade and Haru?]

"No, for sure they'll tell this to Jaxon in no time. Let them be, I'll be fine, it's just ten years."

[Ten years?! That's a long time, Selena. Many things will happen inside that ten years.]

"I know, but what I can do? I'll just keep myself busy finding on something."

[What? Did you lose something important?]

"It's the most important one..."

I said while staring at a family picture that I get from the house or event place where Kaley get married. The care taker of that house said that she remember someone on me.
