PUREBLOODS

"Tell the truth. Who turned you into a Hybrid, Archie?" demanded Ash.

Archie scratched the corner of his brow, he really was spotted. "Ah. That ... Actually, I also don't know exactly who did it back then. Because—" Archie gasped.

He hasn't really finished his sentence yet, but Ash so calmly interrupted his words. "Is the Purebloods in there?" Ash asked as he stretched his right index finger to the magnificent Mitchell mansion that was clearly displayed in front of them.

This is dangerous. Ash did not let go of his sharp gaze for even a second from the magnificent building. He tried to scan, looking for the culprit who had changed his friend. Even though his gaze and tone were so calm, it was actually dangerous. Ash was gathering all his strength and was ready to attack his prey.

"P-purebloods? What do you mean, Ash?" asked Archie, stuttering.

Either he was pretending, or indeed he did not know the facts. But his question managed to distract Ash from the magnificent building in front of them.

With one eyebrow raised, he stomped his foot, then stood in front of Archie. Scanning all parts of Archie's body with his eagle blinds. "Only Purebloods can turn someone into a hybrid." Ash explained. "I think you know about that, Archie." continued Ash with great emphasis.

GLEK!

Archie swallowed his spat  nervously. Cold sweat started pouring down, wetting his forehead. Who wouldn't be nervous when an Alpha looked at you with his hawk-eyes but spoke in a very calm tone.

Too calm for a person who is holding back his anger. Ash couldn't hide his surprise as his net caught the confusion that clearly emanated from Archie's flaming amber net.

"Tell me! Is he in there?" Demand Ash when his nether eyes catch the figure of a woman with pale skin and a middle shoulder length mane opening the front fence of the house.

Archie is about to open the valve in his mouth, but Ash can't help it anymore. Ash bravely ran and came to the woman, trying to attack her without further ado.

Realizing that a threat was coming, the woman activated her power. Shield or protective shield, that's the power that woman has. She creates a shield that can protect herself as well as the entire area where she lives.

Neither Ash nor Archie, they couldn't do anything because the barrier that girl was activating felt really strong.

The woman is Leona Argent. She looked at the two of them with a glare. Her pair of red beads started to glow when she met Ash's gaze of amber eye. But suddenly someone came to interrupt the tension that included Leona and Ash.

"There seems to be a misunderstanding." Loui said.

Leona turned and looked at her big brothers and little brothers who had been standing behind her for some time. Loui cocked his chin at Ash then said, "You calm yourself down." it sounded more like an undeniable command.

Archie rubbed Ash's arm without hesitation. "Ash. Don't start something so hard to end." added Archie.

That sentence managed to calm Ash in an instant. Archie has always had his own way of taming his best friend.

Ash rubbed his face as he regained his breath. Luca scanned the two people standing opposite him with a red bead flashing, like Leona.

"Werewolf ... And ... A hy-" Loui immediately tightly locked her mouth when she recognized Archie's true figure.

"How can?" muttered Luca.

He was really surprised to see Archie who is a hybrid. A combination of werewolves and vampires. In contrast to his mother who is a combination of vampires and humans.

"Follow me!" Loui said as he looked one by one the people in front of him at that time.

Without waiting, Loui immediately brought his legs into the magnificent building where he lived, followed by Leona and Luca, also Ash and Archie behind him.

All the sentences that Loui said earlier were completely undeniable. How could it not be, Loui's ability to control emotions. If you pay attention, Leona and Ash can suppress their emotions in no time. Right after Loui asked them to do it right away, right then and there.

Loui led them to the living room. Unexpectedly all the members of the Argent Family were gathered there, welcoming the two uninvited guests.

"Sit down." Loui pointed to the only empty sofa left in the room.

Stefan reviewed a slight smile when his nether eyes caught the look of caution emanating from Ash's eagle's gaze.

"You suspect us, hm?" Stefan opened his voice as soon as Ash and Archie sat across from him.

"Me, my daughter and my father are indeed Purebloods. However, we just arrived in this city a few days ago." Stefan added with a smile and a warm gaze aimed at Ash and Archie.

"He wants to attack me, Father!" snapped Leona. She threw a glare with her red bead at Ash.

Obviously Leona felt angry, because for no apparent reason Ash ran towards her with his werewolves body just after Leona managed to open the large fence of their house.

Archie, who had been silent for a long time, finally opened his voice. "They weren't the ones who changed me, Ash." said Archie to Ash.

"Apologize to them. We must come back soon." Archie continued, patting Ash on the shoulder.

"Hold on, young man." The only man with shoulder length hair interrupted. He is Charles Argent. The only 10th Century pureblood vampire of the Argent Family lineage that remains.

Charles walked over to Archie and stretched his right hand out towards Archie. "Let me see." asked Charles politely.

Archie also welcomed Charles's helping hand without hesitation. However, Ash swiftly grabbed Archie's hand, who almost managed to grab Charles's helping hand.

Charles chuckled softly as he shook his head as his pair of blue eyes caught the vigilance in Ash's eagle gaze.

"You want to know who turned him into a hybrid, right?" Charles tried to provoke Ash's curiosity.

That one question succeeded in making Ash soften up. He scanned Charles from head to toe.

"I'm just trying to help get rid of your curiosity, young man." added Charles.

Without waiting for Ash's approval, Archie returned to welcome Charles's helping hand. Charles closed his eyes tightly as soon as his palms touched Archie's.

His chest seemed to rise and fall for a moment. He opened his eyes again in a jolt, pulled Archie closer to him, then whispered something.

"What is wrong?" Ash interrupted the rising tension in the room.

Ash isn't the type to get into people's business, but Archie and his family are an exception. For him, Archie is a very valuable friend. All of Archie's problems are his problems too. That's why Ash got really emotional when he found out that his best friend had turned into a hybrid.

"This all has nothing to do with them, Ash. We've got it wrong." Archie immediately pulled him to his feet and forced him to bend down as he apologized to the entire Argent family.

After apologizing, Ash and Archie leave the Argent Family residence disappointed. "What was she whispering to you, Archie?" Ash was still persistent with his curiosity.

Archie gave a faint shake. He gazed nervously at his pair of feet treading the path to the Cooper Family residence. "He said ... The vampire who turned me into what he is today is a dangerous vampire," Archie said softly.

"Who is the vampire he means?" Ash still didn't give up.

He swiftly stood across from Archie, casting his eagle gaze at his friend. Wish Archie would tell him all the things Charles had told him.

"Hey ...! It's too late to talk about so many things in public like this. Besides, did you forget that it's your and Gabe's birthday?" Archie struggled to change the topic of their conversation.

Ash patted his forehead when he heard the name of the twin mentioned. True, he had indeed forgotten that today was their birthday.

"I'm finished! My mom must have been waiting for me for hours." thought Ash.

Without further ado, he immediately ran towards the only house painted gray at the end of the road. Archie breathed a sigh of relief at the change in the topic of conversation. "Thank God. I don't have to tell another lie." muttered Archie, shaking his head; saw Ash running on the other end.
