Chapter 5 Offer Accepted

Mr. Smith starred at his daughter’s face expectantly, trying to find signs of disagreement but all he could see was only worries and longing. He needed to explain some more to make her understand why he had planned something like this for her.

“Princess, please  say something... you can ask questions about what you want to know. I would answer it one at a time.”

Izzabelle was silent for a moment, she didn’t totally disagree with her dad’s offer but she was so hesitant to accept it because she was worried about her father. Leaving him alone made her sad and gloomy. 

“Dad, may I ask you something? I hope you could tell me the truth.?” 

She couldn’t help but asked, she was been so curious before about the possible answers  but she was refraining herself, now is the time she guessed.

“Shoot! I’m all ears baby..!”

Came her daddy’s voice laced with excitement and eagerness to respond.

“Have you found out something about what happened a year ago? Mom said, she was going to meet someone, who is it then??”  

She inquired, her curiosity spikes the hell out of her.

Her father’s facial expressions change dramatically, starring at her dad’s orbs she could see dissatisfaction, disappointment, frustration , anger and sadness.

“I.. I couldn’t find anything princess.., those investigators are seemingly useless. I’m sorry to disappoint you..!” 

Her father’s voice stuttered, and almost whispered looking down the floor. He seems ashamed for not being capable enough. He   Is the CEO of their company but he can’t do anything even though he  tried hard.    

“It’s okay dad, I was just curious about it. Please don’t feel bad, we will have each other’s back remember?”

Her voice was gentle and careful enough to soothe her father’s gloominess and insecurities for himself.

She decided to take the lead to head back home and call it a day. Her father seems to be worried about her choice and so she just told him her encouraging  answer.

“I will think about it later tonight dad, you don’t have to worry about it.. I just need a little time to comprehend on something..!”

Her father just nodded his head, deep down he knows that his princess has already been planning of something. 

‘My daughter is clever and gifted, I know she won’t say no to me. I trust her.’

Mr. Smith‘s thoughts were interrupted when her daughter tapped into his shoulder, indicating they finally arrived at their mansion.

They got out of the car and walked to enter the house.

“Daddy I'll be heading upstairs now. Let’s have a rest and we’ll talk tomorrow okay? Love you dad, good night.”

Izzabelle voiced out trying to assure her dad while waving her hand.

“Good night princess, I love you too baby!” He said with tenderness in his voice.

Meanwhile..

Izzabelle took a warm bath to relax her body and mind, she was confused as to why her father had said that he couldn’t find anything about what happened before. 

‘Is it possible that all the evidence and clues about the accident are hidden or vanished already? Who could be the      person that mom and Inzo met up before they’re gone?’

She analyzes her theories carefully, and it hit her hard. She clenched her fists showing her anger. Now she finally made up her mind. 

‘Im  going to accept dad’s offer to achieve my goals- find the truth for them and the truth about his sudden disappearance! I can’t live my  whole life puzzled forever.’!

 

Done with her bath, she dried herself, get dressed and went to bed closing her eyes to her dreamland. A smile finally appeared on her lips.
