EPISODE SIXTY

Emily cannot say for sure how long she had stayed in the basement or what time it is, but she had fallen asleep, and in her sleep, she had the most unpleasant nightmares all thanks to her hunger.

She opened her eyes and yawned, and that was when she realized that she had woken up as a result of the sound coming from the sitting room. She tried to cease her breathing but was barely able to achieve that because as it is, she was too weak to properly direct the function of any part of her body.

No soon has she woken up that the door to the basement open. She froze, but soon her head was nodding involuntarily in sleep and hunger.

“Hey you, there?” Samantha’s voice was heard.

“Hey, Sama...” Emily murmured with the last strength in her.

She did not try to move closer to the door because she was too weak and she felt that Samantha was only here to bring some food to her.
