The intimidation cutting across the meeting was glaring and felt by Faye.

She quietly observed how the power dynamics was playing and at how the other women let Genevieve make all the decisions without uttering a word to dispute her suggestions, whether they liked it or not.

"We're set then, the children won't be performing on the school's annual party. We shouldn't stress them. They are still kids and shouldn't be made to face the humiliating eyes of the crowd that'd judge them. We shouldn't let them disgrace themselves in public at this young age" Genevieve finished and her husband, Lucas quietly tucked at her hand when she said her last words.

Faye had suggested the class perform on the day of the annual party but Genevieve had refused.

Some parents had accepted it but because Faye had said that she would include all the children in the dance and singing, Genevieve had vehemently refused, fearing that her daughter would disgrace her in public on the day of the party.
